Looking at Reds tickets over Mem Day Weekend.  With the Phils not sucking such huge dongs the ticket availability is not as good as it has been the past few years, which kinda stinks.
Trying to get good seats for Fri/Sun games.  Both teams are better than most figured at this point.

Altherr definitely had to change something in his swing because he definitely does not look like the same player from previous seasons.

He looked really good when he was called up at the end of '15. His performance at the end of last year was understandable coming off a broken wrist.

Yeah, man, I think he'll be decent. But we're not going to see him until June, or whenever timeline is to not lose a year of service time from him.

Isn't that like mid June? Not too far off at this point.

Pretty sure the Cubs waited to bring up Bryant to save service time. If so, i thought it was early May?

    Find this article:
    http://www.foxsports.com/mlb/just-a-bit-outside/story/chicago-cubs-kris-bryant-service-time-when-to-call-up-prospects-031115

And check this out(is Hoskins on the 40 man?):

If the Cubs wait 12 days into the 2015 season to call up Bryant, he would finish 2015 with less than one year of service time, 171 days total. Bryant is not currently on the Cubs’ 40-man roster. So technically, if he starts the year in the minors, he is not “optioned” there, he is just “assigned” to minor-league camp.

In Major League Baseball, if a player is optioned to the minor leagues and recalled in less than 20 days, he does not use an option. He also accrues all of that service time retroactively. If Bryant were on the 40-man roster, the Cubs would actually have to wait 21 days into the season to call him up without the possibility that he accrues a full year of service time in 2015.

So, can the Cubs afford to wait until April 17th, or 10 games into the season for the arrival of Kris Bryant?

This team sure as hell knows how to give up wins. 1 strike away from being 2 games under and not in a terrible situation but instead we are 4 games under and playing a team that just swept us. God save us.
fucking bryce harper :anguished: (and the phillies bullpen)
