I can understand the mentality:
In my fantasy baseball league... we keep 6 players. I had a hunch Byron Buxton was going to be awesome and kept him over some pretty good players. Now... I'm clinging to hope. As Buxton continues to flail away at everything that approaches him at the dish... I'm hoping a time will come where he starts making solid contact and justifies my selection. Sadly... I think I'm going to have to drop him if something better presents itself and concede my error. My league will chuckle and make fun of me. I will have been proven to be wrong.
If I was a Trump voter... I think I would, by now, begin to (at a minimum) question my selection. He's flailing away at the plate in comical fashion and my chances for success with him are diminishing by the day. I'd hope and hope, but in the back of my mind... I'd be sitting there thinking, "Gall dawnit... I reckon I buggered that up I did hyuk hyuk.""My brain's a good brain!"0 -

If it's true, this is a really big, really bad deal. It doesn't matter if Trump is on the tape or not. If his campaign manager and aide (not sure of this Boris dude's role) went to Moscow and said they were willing to trade hacking for favorable treatment, game over. The FBI will take its sweet time in assessing whether to file charges. And the rest will have to come out in committee hearings. I'm not sure I would expect anything to be wrapped up anytime soon. Regarding "sources"... by and large they've been accurate thus far. The only one I can recall being clearly inaccurate are the sources in the White House saying Rice "illegally" unmasked US citizen.
