Pretty cool, but the controller thing looks bloody annoying. We got the NES in 1987 & I remember we set it on the floor in front of the TV. Maybe that's also part of the nostalgia?tempo_n_groove said:https://www.nintendo.com/nes-classic

The short cord is a real bummer. Why is there a fucking cord at all?!! Seriously, the majority of gamers arent rockin' 19" -25" TV's anymore.
The short cords do no good when being up that close will make the picture look like shit. And so you see, I have come to doubt

If they were cordless there would be an increase in TV sales because we would be throwing the controller at the damn TV when the game cheats! You all know what I'm talking about! Like when you press the jump button and hold it down and Mario decides to do a bunny hop instead of a long jump...Grrrrrrrr.HesCalledDyer said:The short cord is a real bummer. All this complaining over a $70 game console is amusing.Alright, alright, alright!

Well the console looked amazing but if it's not functional then it doesn't really matter how much it costsJK_Livin said:All this complaining over a $70 game console is amusing.

yeah, that's without a doubt a design flaw, but it shouldn't deter people from buying this thing. as mentioned above... just get a cheap, six foot HDMI cable off amazon, and rest it on your coffee table while playing.
i know we are living in a wireless controller state these days, but we aren't that far removed from wired controllers, people.

Without the cartridges there should be no "guy you are playing" cheats by him stomping on the ground really hard right in front of the system and causing it to re-set. One buddy used to always "pretend" it was accidental.HesCalledDyer said:tempo_n_groove said:
