Damn was really hoping Kyle was gonna get the nono tonight. Watched in the hospital room and left in the 7th for an emergency c section. Woulda been sweet had he thrown a nono the night my son Dawson was born. Mom and baby are well!

It's my fault... The game was blacked out in my area through MLB.TV so I had to watch it through Fox Sports Go, which was obviously the Cardinals broadcast... So I watched it with the sound turned down because I didn't want to listen to their drivel. When the 9th inning came I wanted to hear the call when Hendricks locked up the no-no, so I turned the volume up. Two pitches later, they hit the homer. My bad Kyle.

Congrats to you. Love the throwback Cubs name. I don't have kids nor do I plan on having any, but if I do, Maddux is my first choice. But then again, how often do the fathers get to pick the name.

Joe West needs to be given a severance package, shown the door, and hope it doesn't hit his fat fuckin ass on the way out. What a piece of garbage.

Did an umpire clinic 10 years ago. The video shown was Joe West - and how NOT to manage a game as a plate ump. He's always been a red ass.

His decision to eject Maddon was made before a single word was exchanged. That was horse shit.

In franchise history, only two Cubs shortstops have had 20 HR & 90 RBI in a season: Addison Russell & Mr. Cub Ernie Banks.
  • Joe west has been one of the worst umpires in baseball for a long time.

Quite possibly going to have 3 guys hit 20+ home runs and 100 RBI.

Don't quote me, but I believe I heard that had never been done before???

I'm not gonna quote you, but it seems to me that has to have been done before.

Just checked on some teams who i thought might have had 3 players with 20+ & 100 RBI.

I came up with 2(i'd guess more have done it), and one team had 3 that had over 30 Hr's & 100 RBI

    http://www.baseball-reference.com/teams/CLE/1996.shtml

    Thome 38 116
    Belle 48 148
    Ramirez 33 112

    http://www.baseball-reference.com/teams/BOS/2003.shtml

    Nomar 28 105
    Ramirez 37 104
    Ortiz 31 101

    I thought the 1927 Yankees would've done it , but one player had 18 HR's & 102 RBI : http://www.baseball-reference.com/teams/NYY/1927.shtml

Still, pretty good if the Cubs can achieve it, though.

  • The 1982 Brewers.
Half their starting lineup had 30 dingers and 100 ribbys.

  • Oakland didn't achieve that back in the late 80s?
