You mean Alex Jones from InfoWars? You mean the guy where Donald Trump went on his show and said "Your reputation is amazing, I won't let you down"? You mean the guy that believes Sandy Hook was staged?unsung said:mrussel1 said:
No she's not. It's quite the smart strategy. Trump tried to spend this week pivoting and she is drawing the focus back on him and tying him to the alt-right. More importantly... and this shows the doofus move for what it is... everything that Breitbart prints or has printed now is tied to Trump. This is of course because of Bannon. Everything that happens on that website is now Trump's problem.unsung said:All she's doing by acknowledging the alt-right is playing the victim.
It's fucking brilliant by the Clinton campaign.
She went after Alex Jones too? She's desperate.mrussel1 said:

So let me get this straight... you think it's a bad idea for Clinton to call out the direct ties between a fringe conspiracy psycho and Donald Trump. That's a bad strategy to you. Uh huh. Good thinking. You should continue advising the Trump campaign.0 -
Hmm okay. So you are ripping on Clinton supporters for not knowing what the alt-right is... Well evidently neither does Trump:unsung said:
"This is a term that was just given," Trump continued. "There's no alt-right or alt-left. All that I'm embracing is common sense."
Cooper pointed to new Trump campaign chief Steve Bannon's comments to Mother Jones last month describing Breitbart, where he then worked as an executive, as "the platform for the alt-right."
"I don't know what Steve said. I can only speak for myself," Trump responded.

But that's okay. I know what the fuck it is and the vile vermin that creeps and crawls on the pages of Breitbart and Storm Front. And you probably do too. Good thing Trump hires "the best people" but he doesn't know what the fuck they support, right? Like Manafort and the Ukraine. Yeah, keep supporting him.Post edited by mrussel1 on0 -
Well, that proves it then, doesnt it? No alt right exists, the tea party isn't extreme and yes indeed boys and girls, the Republican Party is still the party of Reagan, bush and Randy Paul. Except it always has been, right? Anita Bryant, Bush's smear of McCain in the South Carolina primary and Reagan's choice of announcement locale prove that. Some things never change. Republicans, still racist and homophobic all these years.unsung said:09/15/1998 & 09/16/1998, Mansfield, MA; 08/29/00 08/30/00, Mansfield, MA; 07/02/03, 07/03/03, Mansfield, MA; 09/28/04, 09/29/04, Boston, MA; 09/22/05, Halifax, NS; 05/24/06, 05/25/06, Boston, MA; 07/22/06, 07/23/06, Gorge, WA; 06/27/2008, Hartford; 06/28/08, 06/30/08, Mansfield; 08/18/2009, O2, London, UK; 10/30/09, 10/31/09, Philadelphia, PA; 05/15/10, Hartford, CT; 05/17/10, Boston, MA; 05/20/10, 05/21/10, NY, NY; 06/22/10, Dublin, IRE; 06/23/10, Northern Ireland; 09/03/11, 09/04/11, Alpine Valley, WI; 09/11/11, 09/12/11, Toronto, Ont; 09/14/11, Ottawa, Ont; 09/15/11, Hamilton, Ont; 07/02/2012, Prague, Czech Republic; 07/04/2012 & 07/05/2012, Berlin, Germany; 07/07/2012, Stockholm, Sweden; 09/30/2012, Missoula, MT; 07/16/2013, London, Ont; 07/19/2013, Chicago, IL; 10/15/2013 & 10/16/2013, Worcester, MA; 10/21/2013 & 10/22/2013, Philadelphia, PA; 10/25/2013, Hartford, CT; 11/29/2013, Portland, OR; 11/30/2013, Spokane, WA; 12/04/2013, Vancouver, BC; 12/06/2013, Seattle, WA; 10/03/2014, St. Louis. I would argue (not disagreeing, but maybe framed differently) that she is going after the moderate republican vote. She is saying "you can't associate yourself with this. Whatever you might think about emails or foundations, Trump's base is vile and beneath you as a human."Gern Blansten said:

Conversely, Trump is ALSO going after the moderate Republican vote. These minority pitches this week is not about getting 20% of the black vote. They know that ain't happening. It's trying to make it 'okay' for suburban, educated whites to vote for Trump.
But what all this boils down to is this... the fight for the undecided is for Republican moderates. That means Clinton is on offense, Trump is on defense. If Trump wants to win the election, he has to take Democrats. There's no sign that is happening right now.0 -

Most people in the mainstream that are not heavy consumers of news and information have not heard of it. But this 'movement' has overtaken moderate Republicans. And that's why she called it out. Now it will be in the lexicon of the news and the Trump team will need to answer for them. Hiring Bannon ties them to the movement. Again, it was a fucking stupid move to hire Bannon if you want to win an election. If your goal is to start a right wing media outlet post-election, then fine. nice move.unsung said:

Has there been an indictment yet? Maybe a request for depositions? Announcement of a formal investigation by a law enforcement body? A list of charges that are being readied or an announcement of said laws to have been violated? Congress couldn't accomplish the alt right's dirty work so now you want the press to do it? Which is basically character assassination to turn the electorate against her. Who in their right mind would play that game?tonifig8 said:

How convenient:
http://money.cnn.com/2016/08/26/media/associated-press-hillary-clinton-investigation/index.html
Any indictments or plea deals announced of those who paid to play? It's illegal to offer a bribe to a federal official, don't you know? Usually, those lesser ones get squeezed and cop a plea to assist in getting the big fish. So now the AP can be as trustworthy as well as, you know, Fox News?09/15/1998 & 09/16/1998, Mansfield, MA; 08/29/00 08/30/00, Mansfield, MA; 07/02/03, 07/03/03, Mansfield, MA; 09/28/04, 09/29/04, Boston, MA; 09/22/05, Halifax, NS; 05/24/06, 05/25/06, Boston, MA; 07/22/06, 07/23/06, Gorge, WA; 06/27/2008, Hartford; 06/28/08, 06/30/08, Mansfield; 08/18/2009, O2, London, UK; 10/30/09, 10/31/09, Philadelphia, PA; 05/15/10, Hartford, CT; 05/17/10, Boston, MA; 05/20/10, 05/21/10, NY, NY; 06/22/10, Dublin, IRE; 06/23/10, Northern Ireland; 09/03/11, 09/04/11, Alpine Valley, WI; 09/11/11, 09/12/11, Toronto, Ont; 09/14/11, Ottawa, Ont; 09/15/11, Hamilton, Ont; 07/02/2012, Prague, Czech Republic; 07/04/2012 & 07/05/2012, Berlin, Germany; 07/07/2012, Stockholm, Sweden; 09/30/2012, Missoula, MT; 07/16/2013, London, Ont; 07/19/2013, Chicago, IL; 10/15/2013 & 10/16/2013, Worcester, MA; 10/21/2013 & 10/22/2013, Philadelphia, PA; 10/25/2013, Hartford, CT; 11/29/2013, Portland, OR; 11/30/2013, Spokane, WA; 12/04/2013, Vancouver, BC; 12/06/2013, Seattle, WA; 10/03/2014, St. Louis.
