You start thinking about October and potential matchups. You learn the Kershaw is in the DL (has been) and Strasburg has joined him there...

Cubs now 3-0 on nights PJ plays Wrigley. No reason to not have them back!

Mlb released the postseason schedule today. If Cubs can hold on to homefield in the NL, with the exception of a potential NLDS game 5, all home playoff games would be on a Fri, Sat or Sun.

It's like everytime I go down to spend a couple minutes playing guitar, go smoke a cigarette, I come back to seeing another KB or Addy dinger. It's unreal. These guys are locked in.

    Can't believe I was at Bryant's 5-5 game!

    Can't believe I was at Bryant's 5-5 game!

Can't believe I can genuinely ask which one this season?

Kyle Hendricks now has a major league leading ERA of 2.16 in 24 starts. He has given up 3 earned runs or less in 17 consecutive starts. That is the most in baseball this year. Dude has quietly become the most consistent pitcher in baseball. His record is just 12-7, but it can be argued that he has been the best cubs pitcher this year

Yep, 12-7 because he got no support from the offense at the beginning of the year. The best, most consistent pitcher in baseball this season.

I think it was Hendricks that we got in the Garza trade if I'm not mistaken. Thought i remembered reading an article that Nolan Ryan was unhappy about giving up Kyle in that deal. Says a lot about his character.

Hendricks was part of the Dempster trade. We got Edwards & Grimm in the Garza trade.

Because it's about money he won't start game 1, but he probably should. If Jake really shines down the stretch im fine with jake, if he struggles with command id go kyle.

Even as a Cubs slappy, I'll say it's very hard to argue that point. Even more surprising is the tear that Russell has been on. Dude plays a slick D, and looks like his offensive potential is through the roof.
