I thought rizzo was a lock for MVP. I think bryant has passed rizzo in batting average now. With all those HRs, RBI's, and now a .300 average, I think it's safe to say bryant is the clear front runner.

    Soon to become....

1st player to be named College player of the year.
Minor League player of the year.
    MLB Rookie of the year.
    MLB Most Valuable Player.

The dude is incredible. Crazy what's he's been able to accomplish at such a young age.
20 years from now he will be a HOF'er.
Absolutely right..dude is tearing up pitching staffs..we could be seing his minor league type numbers very soon. Season and a half experience only...going to be scary good soon. Can't fucking wait!

ESPN has Bryant and hall talks on their site this morning. We can "toot his horn". ."lick his balls"...on the national level, just let the kid play and numbers will tell a story.

    I know it's not possible..

What a horrible thing to have....two guys on the same team battling for MVP?

    F'n awesome!!! :)

I know. The last time we've had this "problem" was....I don't know. Maybe Sosa and and somebody? Or maybe wood and prior for Cy young. Either way, it's a great problem to have. Personally, I'm rooting for rizzo!

Yea, i remember that. He actually was a good player. I think Sandberg said he'd come back if Walton was gone.

Sandberg never left while Walton was there. Walton signed as a FA with the Angels in the 92/93 offseason. Ryno retired mid 94 and returned in 96.

Even if Rizzo and Bryant put up the exact same numbers, I think the powers that be will look at Bryant and his ability to play almost every defensive position at a high level...even if Bryant ends up with more errors...thereby giving him the nod.
A dude who is hitting over .300, leads or is close in HRs, and can field any defensive position. Most manages would give their left arm to have that type of player.

And to do it without hesitation, without question, without making a big stink in the media about it. Dude's a fucking true team player. Not that Rizzo isn't, or anyone else for that matter. But to get the point across, every manager in MLB would love to have this caliber of player AND teammate on their roster.

There are a lot of things that kids can learn from the likes of Bryant and Rizzo. Obviously there are the on field tangibles, but it goes deeper than that. You can be a great player that has fun and conducts yourself like a true professional. You don't have to be a Harper punk.
