Really? I took my point & shoot in no problem. Also I thought the short list of items not allowed for tonight's show specified no cameras with detachable lens so I assumed point & shoot was ok. Too bad you had issues, hopefully you were still able to enjoy the show.PP193448 said:Setlist and show were awesome!!
Hate to complain, but... Seriously fucking still pissed off that security would not allow any cameras whatsoever. No point and shoot without detachable lenses. Had same camera I've taken to every show I've been to, but the Cub's management told the security that No cameras permitted. Had to take it back to the hotel. Tenclub should have specified this would be the case.0 -
Did you have a purse?? I pulled it out of my pocket to place in the pass thru with my wallet and my phone. They stopped me from taking it in.
Did not affect me after I got back to the stadium at 7:15p. GA was nuts, though...Post edited by PP193448 on2006 Clev,Pitt; 2008 NY MSGx2; 2010 Columbus; 2012 Missoula; 2013 Phoenix,Vancouver,Seattle; 2014 Cincy; 2016 Lex, Wrigley 1&2; 2018 Wrigley 1&2; 2022 Louisville0 -
First gate I went through security would not let my point and shoot camera in that I get in everywhere. Same BS about having to take it back to car/hotel etc. Went down to another entrance and got through with it. Sort of stacked it b/w wallet and phone and person wasn't paying attention. Probably won't take it Monday. Very surprised.Suziemay said:

Yea. The security check lady poked around for 2 seconds and didn't take anything out. I also had Cliff Bars which technically they shouldn't allow but I've never had them taken away from me. Curious if anyone else had the same issue or if you had a clueless security person. I could have sworn the list they posted outside the gates clearly implied point & shoot cameras would be ok.PP193448 said:Did you have a purse?? Oh wow you too? Did you guys head in early? I went in around 7, wonder if maybe they worked it out by then. If I was a fluke, then should probably warn folks going on Monday.A Compliment For Us said:

This band is so so good and I freaking love them all. Incredible show. Personal highlights for me were Last Exit, Sad, Amongst the Waves (that was our request on behalf of Lake Michigan - thank you thank you), I Got Shit and Masters of War. Can't believe I saw Cready clawing and ripping strings off his guitar. He was on fire all night. The whole first encore was performed so well. Quite a moment with Gleason introducing Inside Job. Porch was a bombshell. Go was a banger. And All the Way was really fun. Loved the video with it - quite the ovation for Ernie.
Ed really shined bright tonight. He sounded as good as I've ever heard him, and was just captivating with his thoughtful banter, dedications, jokes (sorry Whitesnake, but that was an incredible burn). He seemed to have even more of a presence than usual. Wrigley obviously brings out the best in these guys. Thank you again to the band and our fellow fans for an unforgettable night.0 -

There was a good vibe today all around Chicago it seemed to me. Might be the most fun I've had at a Pearl Jam show. Masters of War was indescribable. Such a memorable night/day.0

Unreal. Pretty excited to see what they follow with on Monday. Highlights for me were the Low Light > Release intro, I Got Id, Inside Job. When they started playing Comfortably Numb I nearly lost my shit. Never thought I'd see my favorite band ever cover a song by my other favorite band that has meant so much to me through the years. And they fucked NAILED it. If I'm honest, I came pretty close to crying.2006 -- Chicago II

That is so cool Eddie mentioned The Hip. Tonight and the Hip's last show being televised meant a LOT to a LOT of Canadians, and the whole country got together this evening. I went to a street screening for it tonight and the communal love for Gord and The Tragically Hip was palpable. Not sad, celebratory and thankful. It was happening in all places across the country as though we were all doing it together. On streets, in bars, theatres, casinos, restaurants, city squares, parks, yards, living rooms, Canada House down at the Olympics, gatherings of Canadians living abroad around the world.... I don't think there has ever been anything like this before. It was really really special. And it was even all about raising money for Cancer research. For Eddie to mention it is very touching for a Hip/Pearl Jam fan.Post edited by PJ_Soul onWith all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Masters of War was the best moment I have had at a PJ show. The guitars were shredded beyond recognition.
The Gleason moment was unreal too. What an inspirational moment! I am still ecstatic from the amazing show.
My dreams came true for this show. It was my only show of the tour and shout out to the 433 clan.
Thanks Eddie, Mike, Stone, Matt, Jeff, and Boom. You made a new dad's year.2009 Chicago

If you paid attention, even Stone seemed to be having a good time.
Seriously under-rated IMHO.0 -
Setlist in main set was average. Too many covers overall. Monday is going to be epic and I won't be there. Have fun, all.0
