Overall a great show. Felt very similar to Fenway 1 and I thought the band sounded awesome. My only gripe, like many others have said, has been the high number of covers but that's being picky. Can't wait for Monday!

Yeah and a lot of the same covers as Fenway 1. And both had just breathe in the encore 1. Those would be minor gripes, wish I got a little more variety. I was lucky enough to go to 2 of the stadium shows(Fenway 1 and wrigley 1), and they were both similar but last night was incredible.
Goodbye Chicago! What a weekend! Weather turned out to be amazing! Caught the air show both days (Thunderbirds were ridiculous!), science museum, Pequod's, and my first ever visit to Wrigley! What a park! Also had a great weekend with my sister!
I can't say enough about masters/patriot.
And inside job is still giving me chills! That was my white whale! Loved Gleason's words about the song. He nailed it. Tremendous.
Loved the show. Had an absolute blast! Wish we were going tomorrow night too. Would have loved a few more PJ songs instead of covers, but it was still great.
We were in section 131. We had a couple behind us with their 8 month old named Lukin, which is a fucking awesome name! Also, to the family in the row in front of us, you're doing something right. They said it was their 2 daughters 5th show. The one daughter seemed to know all the songs, and all the little nuances for each song better than anyone in the stadium. She was singing and dancing along throughout the entire show, and it was quite amazing to see her and the rest of the family having so much fun throughout the show. If you guys are on here, you rock!
Just got home from an awesome weekend. It was my first time in Chicago and the wife and I had a blast doing a boat tour, eating deep dish, went to Buddy Guy's Legends and heard some Chicago blues Friday night. Spent Saturday exploring Wrigleyville and then had my first GA experience.
The GA crowd was very considerate, no real space issues or push at the start of the set. Everyone around us was having a blast and looking out for each other.
As for the show, Masters was unreal. It was the highlight of my night. I was also excited to cross I Got Shit off of my list. The moments with Gleason were very touching. We all were getting choked up before the show when they played the trailer to his movie. For him to then come out and do the intro to Inside Job just added more emotion to that experience. The band was pretty tight all around.
The entire trip was amazing and getting to see Pearl Jam in Wrigley Field from 20 rows off the stage was the icing on the cake.
Just plain amazing, all of it. The venue, music, weather, people..couldn't ask for more. There was even a dad with is 10 year old by us, awesome to see how much fun that little boy was having, what a great way to see his first concert. Thanks to everyone for making it a memory!
I'll just add, while we are all there to see and hear the band, make sure to take time to look away from the stage, just look around the venue, the sight of 50,000 people can be awe inspiring in itself.

What a night. My amazing wife who's 8+ months pregnant and knew how much this meant to me, diehard Cubs fan, let me go to the show after the Dr's ok at our appointment Friday. I am a lucky man. Dont know too many wives that would allow that. I live outside Milwaukee.
Highlights were MOW, Mike was fn possessed wow! The moon rising just over the RF scoreboard from our view in Sec Y as they started Comfortably Numb. Steve Gleason introducing Inside Job, damn hard not getting choked up. What an inspiration having a great attitude despite his situation. And of course All The Way with Jose Cardenal and Ron Santos kids. Definitely felt appropriate given my situation getting Surrender "mommy's all right, daddy's all right"
Lot of hits, so I'm guessing Monday will be an all timer with a lot of rare gems. Wish I could go, but now it's time to get ready for fatherhood.

Yeah, there are too many great Pearl Jam songs to play that many covers. THey played 33 songs so we still got a lot of PJ songs. I just don't think Rain or Fast Patriot are all that great of songs compared to the rest of the PJ catalog. Comfortably Numb is an all time great song though, and thankfully McCready kills Masters of War because otherwise it would be a snooze fest. Baba always kills though (it gets a PJ crowd going more than any other song).
Can't make it to Monday. Can't wait to see how they top this one though.
I had tickets to Monday but couldn't make it work. Had to leave Chicago today to come back home.
I'm devastated.
That sucks. I had to cut my weekend short too for work. I just have this feeling that Monday is going to be the show of the year. Can't hit them all though.
I'll probably get murdered for this but I thought the energy in GA, where I was, was disappointing. I was back a bit on Mike's side. So, I know I wasn't in the middle. But I was still in GA and I would have expected a bit more from the crowd. No one was pumped up for Last Exit or Sad or Light Years or anything except Evenflow. Definitely not what I would expect from all Fan Club members.
And I don't think the number of covers helped the energy level, either.
That being said, I still loved the s*it out of Last Exit and Sad and Light Years and Let Me Sleep and Inside Job!
At the end of the day, though, the energy kind of works out... I got a lot of unexpected positive energy in a different way from the Gleason thing. And I am really happy for all of the people who thought it was the best show ever. That's f*n great for them and I am sincerely happy for them!

I was the only one going ape shit when they played Miracles. Being a huge Ramones fan, I wanted to turn around and get people into it, but hey, to each his own. I've never been to South America to experience that, but from YouTube it looks like they jump and sing non stop. I think I need to go there sometime.

I'm a lucky man to count on both hands the ones I love.
i felt like i was getting the weirdo looks from where i was in ga too but i think people were having a good time, just in their own way.. but people heading for the bathrooms at sad? huh?

Right! Like the kid that was standing next to me. He had his arms crossed the whole show and was singing very quietly to himself. It was WEIRD!

The weirdo looks are a good thing. Means you're rocking out properly. And they just wish they could get into it like that. Also I would piss my pants before missing Sad. Song of the night for me.

I also thought Masters was the highlight of the night. Glad to cross a few songs off the old list.
Sound was great. Band was great. Crowd was great. Weather was great. Everything about Wrigley and the neighborhood is just A++++
