Just an unbelievable night. So many awesome highlights....Low Light as the opener. Release is always amazing, especially in Chicago. Last Exit, Sad, Amongst The Waves, I Got Shit was fucking awesome, Inside Job, Go to start the second encore was killer, and hearing 40,000 people sing Better Man was a major highlight. Masters Of War was unbelievable. And Comfortably Numb and Surrender were fucking awesome too. They fucking brought it last night, and I get to do it all again tomorrow! Bring on night 2!!!

More songs from Lost Dogs than Yield and No Code combined. I expect this will be remedied on Monday. ;)

Fantastic show. Steve Gleason intro into Inside Job something I'll never forget. Greatest band ever.

  • Steve Gleason was a nice moment for sure along with his introduction, quote and song choice. I am pretty sure that he will only be doing that at last night's show. I was also happy to see them play the movie trailer prior to the show to hopefully increase ALS awareness.

I like where you are going with this! Last night was an incredible show, but I think Monday will be absolutely killer!

this set reminds me of fenway 1...lots and lots of covers. sounds like an incredible night but i'm feeling night 2 is gonna be where it's at.

Yeah. Lots of covers and guests night 1. Lots of sentimental moments. Very much like Fenway 1. Some amazing peaks though in a number of songs. A few screw ups here and there. Nonetheless, I had a great time.

Wrigley security is lax within the stadium but the head security guys at the gates were megalomaniacal jackasses. There is no clear demarcation of where the stadium exit is located, and if you walked past that line there was no reasoning with them to get back in. We had to listen to the last two songs from outside, which BTW still sounds pretty damn good. If anyone doesn't have tickets for Monday, you can clearly hear it all from outside the stadium.

It was moving seeing Gleason out there, and hearing what an impact Inside Job has had on his experience of his disease. I was fortunate enough to be behind the scenes a little at Voodoo Festival in 2013 via Super VIP passes and saw Gleason and some band members there (Mike and Eddie), and it's amazing and inspiring to see someone progress as he has while still maintaining a positive attitude and spirit. He's doing great work and I can only imagine how much that message will help others struggling with all kinds of difficulties that are like his or are just everyday problems. I know it puts my life and daily struggles in perspective. Plus, I shed many a tear during the song.

What a night. The energy from the band and crowd was definitely there. So many highlights but I will never forget Release. I legit teared up during Release and I'm not afraid to say it. And how about Gleason coming on stage? That was a great and emotional moment.

Just an awesome show with an awesome set. Of course I'd love to go to night 2, but last night was so satisfying. Thank you, Pearl Jam.

My only complaint Ed talked a lot - probably more than at any show I have been- would have loved a few more songs

Seems like he's doing this a lot more lately. I loved it when they would play like 6-7 songs and he would just say "pardon my manners but good evening" and that's it...

If anyone is staying for the Monday show and is looking for something to do, we went to the Art Institute of Chicago yesterday morning and afternoon and it was phenomenal. Just sayin'...

Looking forward to Monday's show and need to find more stuff to do ourselves today and tomorrow.

Thinking of going there later today. :-)

It has been many years now, but when our kinds were younger and we lived in Indiana, the Field Museum was our favorite destination. Chicago has some amazing museums -- the Field, Shedd Aquarium, the planetarium, and the Museum of Science and Industry. The Field, Shedd, and Adler (planetarium) all are within an easy, scenic walk of each other, too.

Thanks! We now have a list of things to check out today and tomorrow. We have tickets still for the Sky Deck so we're going to check that out today or tomorrow as well.
