My 20th show and the energy in the pit, the quality sound, the tightness of the band, Ed's vocal put it at very top for me. Senses were firing on all cylinders!

A friend in bleachers thought set seemed disjointed but I just such a sustained elevated experience to end.

P.s. The video team get major hats off. The quality of that post production quality but it's real time!

Yup. Can't tell you how many times I've listened to the Gorge 05 version, and then we get it last night. Amazing

My only complaint Ed talked a lot - probably more than at any show I have been- would have loved a few more songs

Seems like he's doing this a lot more lately. I loved it when they would play like 6-7 songs and he would just say "pardon my manners but good evening" and that's it...
I LOVE WHEN HE TALKS and shares. Love the stories. Behind everything just another human being. Makes the shows that much more intimate.Used to love that about the early Bruce shows. Deepens the connection. for me anyway.

Completely blown away. Awesome set list. AMAZING energy in the pit. I had an incredible spot that only added to the experience on so many levels. Waiting all day. Soaked in the morning then dried out. Then we finally hit the field and it immediately starts pouring again. I was soaked completely through. Didn't care. Here's the thing. I LOVE inside job. I've never heard it live. It has so much intense personal meaning to me. I've been hoping to hear it all tour. This is my last show this tour. I caught it. When I saw Mike strap on that guitar I was overcome with emotion. Thank you Pearl jam for a year I will never forget!

I had tears in my eyes during Inside Job just sitting here on my couch watching via the scope...can't imagine if I had been there. The waterworks would have been flowing, for sure. So glad you finally got it!!
I thought of you too! We have to hit a pit together next tour!

Just curious if anyone checked a bag at the GA entrance. I heard this was an option and want to know if it's true. I'm flying in from Seattle and then heading back after the show so I have to carry around a back pack. Would rather not wear it all night in the pit :)

So glad you finally got to see this song live Jen!' I remember you hoping to catch it three years ago! It was so neat meeting you there! That was a wonderful experience, and I'm glad I got to go do that! Even if it took

Release. Finally! Can't begin to describe how I felt when I heard those opening notes. Right after Low Light I looked over to my friend and told her it was now or never. And then it happened.

Oddly have seen it 4 out of my last 7, almost feel like they gotta cut back and keep it special

Great show! I had section 124 row 13, my brother had section 235 row 1 with slightly worse member number. His seats were better so we all sat in 235.

Inside Job was my number one highlight, been wanting it for a while. With Gleason intro was amazing. Other highlights were Release, Sad (heard the sound check from outside earlier so we were hoping), I Got Id, Miracles, Let Me Sleep, actually there are just to many too list.

Could not understand much of Edspeak where we were, and there was a lot of it.

What else was sound checked and was anything crossed off the setlist?
Crazy Mary crossed out in 2nd encore

This show was so great. Opening with Lowlight into Release brought tears. Decent 10c seats section 33 row 10. Masters of war/patriot was amazing. I have been trying to catch that for years and years. I guess we may get crazy Mary Monday. Thank you pearl jam. You mean so much to all of us. I could do without comfortably numb and the hits because heard them so much. Took a laid back casual approach to the show. Didn't mess with merch or anything because of the lines. Getting out of Wrigley was much better this time. Didn't stay in the city so took the redline away from the city. Can't wait for Monday. I got a feeling it is going to rock hard. Wrigley is so special being a lifelong diehard Cubs fan. Having Pearl Jam play there is so special.
    This is Not For You
  • What an experience, start to finish... Just a dream come true. Loved low light into release, light years always hits hard, and then Steve on stage for inside job. Seriously. Like Dimi said, every hair raised. So much emotion.

Surrender is always a party, Patriot was cool, and masters was scorching hot. I've got no problem with the covers. If they wanna play thriller front to back I'm in.

Watching Mike rip at those strings on masters... :open_mouth:

Loved the singalongs to close first set, and then to Alive, all fun for my wife too (see below).

Also, the Cubs connection is so hard to quantify to non Cubs fans too... It's almost more than my heart can handle to see these two worlds together. Especially this year.

And most of all, after 20+ years of going to pj shows and 13 years of marriage, this was my wife's first show. So thankful for all the times she made it ok for me to spilt and see the fellas... But really special to have her there.

All in all, I could not have asked for a better night.

    So many tears... :bawling::lol:

What a day! Hats off to Orange Hat Guy - Chris? - for keeping an eye on the people around him. I was in the pit with my 63 year-old mother, and he was incredibly considerate. Definitely made our night better!

Good work Chris! The generosity and grace of pj fans always blows me away. Two 10c members next to us in section 16 agreed too swap spots with our friends in 137 so we could all sit together. Can't believe I didn't catch your names, but if you see this... THANKS again!

  • I think my answer to "What is your favorite show attended?" is starting to be the most recent one I went to. I'm sure once more time has passed, I'll revert to Moline as my fav show attended.

Any way, awesome show, awesome fans around me, little bit of an obstructed view due to the light standard but that was OK. Really liked the pacing of the set list and personally - 6 songs were new to me live, albeit 4 of those were covers.

All in all a very solid show!

Besides Rain, I don't consider the other songs "covers" even if they technically are. They are part of the catalog.

Woe is me, forced to watch them kill Comfortably Numb. The shame, the shame ...

For me, the show went far beyond my expectations. I figured the sound would be horrid because, well, it's an old baseball field ... but it was actually better then most venues I've seen them play at. The cold front passed and the weather was just perfect. Also, lots of positive energy flowing around, generated from the band and I'd rank this as a top tier show that I've been to, and I've seen some good ones.

I'll admit, the 3rd encore surprised me. I thought it was odd that they would end with Alive, but it just turned 11 pm and I figured they had a curfew hard out so I headed towards the exits. Good thing Ed only took a minute to come back out or I would have missed it!

great show...was pissed Mary didn't make it, missed it again. My own take, Fenway Night 2 was better, felt set-list was better. They are always great, that's why my best friend and I made the trip from Altoona Pa to Fenway to Wrigley (and he has stage 3 cancer) and battled the road, elements (2 hour merch lines) Masters Of War was epic! That's 3 shows in 4 months, I rank them Fenway2, Philly (Ten show) and then this one. Anyone know if they are doing a DVD/Box set or anything around the Wrigley/Fenway shows? Thx...just walked in from 10 hour road trip, exhausted but always worth it to see the best band ever!!!! Night 2 will be epic, wish I was there but back to reality):
    Cincy 2014
Philly II 2016 (The Ten show)
    Fenway Paak Night #2 (Aug 7th 2016)

Amazing show! It was my first time in GA, which was awesome! I was amazed at how I wasn't squished the whole show and how respectful everyone was. Great time!

I loved the setlist. Masters of War was amazing, Inside Job was insanely emotional, and I got the 3 songs of theirs that helped me the most after my mom and brother died (Release, Sad, and Light Years) which added more to my love of the show. Can't wait until tomorrow!

What a great show. McCready was on fire as usual. I won't be at Monday's show but I'm expecting it to be the best of the 4 ball park shows.
