It's a Greeklish word. We all understand it fairly well. :glasses:

Look at it this way, there are more people using that stupid app than on Tinder now. This younger generation instead of procreating and adding more stupid people to this planet are to wrapped up in that game to try and hook up with other young dumb people. This may be a good thing.

    What is tinder??
So, when I'm in Chicago for the Wrigley show, and I see a dude wearing a bed sheet and a Greek flag as a cape, walking around picking up Pokemon - then doing the furious swiping left and right on his phone in between - I'll know this thread will have taught someone something.

The kids are competing with each over for highest levels, going places by car
Spending the weekend doing so for a good pocemon
I kinda like the spending quality time together, besides its good exercise
    The attention afterward is rewarding
As always I'm happy in the end..

I wouldn't play it myself, and those doing stupid things like walking in front of cars are ridiculous... but I have to admit, I haven't seen younger people so energized and so many interested in being outside in years, hahaha, so I don't think I mind this trend. For a couple of days I didn't know wtf was going on. I kept seeing these odd groups of people converging in random places around town while staring at thwir phones and thought people were going nuts. It almost felt like I was in a Stephen King novel. But once i learned about the Pokémon Go thing, I realized that these groups of people were essentially on nerds quests, and I dunno... there is something nice about that. :giggle: All these stories of friendship and kindness between strangers are emerging from it, which is pretty cool. People appear to be out meeting new people and shit through this dumb game, and at the same time they are endangering themselves in various ways, lol. But really, it's nice to see people engaged about something - anything - that actually brings them together.

I give this fad the weekend btw. It's going to be just a flash in the pan. Frankly, it takes too much work to last. Once the novelty wears off people will retreat back into their homes. :disappointed:

And here's another hazard of playing Pokemon Go.
‘Pokemon GO’ player bitten by venomous snake in North Texas

A North Texas teen is recovering after being bitten by a venomous snake while playing the wildly popular and increasingly controversial Pokemon GO game in a Flower Mound park.

The injury is yet another bizarre tale associated with the treasure hunt-style video game, which can be downloaded for free and played on smartphones.

Officials at many public buildings are trying to warn gamers that they’re wandering into dangerous areas. At least two Dallas-Fort Worth area hospitals have asked Pokemon players — or “Pokemon trainers” as they’re called in the game — to stop loitering around their helicopter landing pads in search of Pokemon creatures, saying their presence could pose a danger for incoming medical emergency flights.

But the snake bite was a clear case of someone not watching where he was walking, officials said.

Ask and you shall receive. Nintendo is releasing a new version of the classic console with classic remotes this fall. 30 classic games preloaded. Pretty sweet.

The video title on YouTube said it was a result of this game. Unless someone posted it that way as a kind of satire
