Dude, are you for real? Do you understand how this all works? When people pull their money out of the market, it tanks the price. If you own a piece of that, the value of your ownership goes down.
When you buy a house for 300k and then two years later no one will pay you more than 270k for it, do you pretend it's not really a loss? It's the same concept.
I don't blame people for not paying what others (the market) says it's worth. Yes it is nice to be in a house watching the value go up every year until you decide to sell it. In the end you get what you should. A shack is a shack.

Mom and Pop were right about keeping your money in a shoebox underneath your bed. You will always know your worth.

The faster you move your money to a safe haven (or cash out) the better you can mitigate your loss.

Am I being fucked with here?
    Exactly - cash out.

The Scots did not have a bigger population voting to stay. Instead they were lumped in with the rest of the majority of the UK who voted to leave.
Who cares if the majority of Scots wanted to stay? The will of the rest was stronger.
Trump was telling facts of the day as it happened. Whether or not you agree it is still fact.
Facts of the day, folks! Just as they happened!

    THIS guy. Hahahaha

Who knew a thread in the AMT would be my new go-to when needing a laugh?

Okay. You are clearly not understanding the stock market. You don't get to cash out your 529, IRA, 401(k), pension, etc. Sorry, I know these are US tax codes but I'm sure Canada has something similar.

But here's the thing. And I'm very sorry about this... but we're going to have to relieve you of your duties as conservative antagonist on this board. It's just not working out for any of us. We know you are trying hard to represent the policies of the right, but the understanding is just too superficial at this point. Many of us don't agree with the non-crazy conservatives, but they do have some good points that need to be considered. That's just not happening right now.

I'll start playing the conservative on this board until such time as we can find a suitable replacement. There will be certain view I just can't defend, but I'll do my best. Please cut me some slack.

It's possible he could be like one of those fake Twitter bots that are just there to troll people or whatever. They also make up about 80% of Trump's followers.

    +/- 5%
  • I only read this article now after posting my previous thoughts. http://www.cnbc.com/2016/06/24/

The lesson for U.S. politics is that polls showing a steady lead for Clinton could underestimate the extent to which voters are fed up with the status quo and are willing to take a risk on a candidate like Trump — whose rhetoric on trade and immigration is very similar to that used by the Leave campaign.
  • You know this is a good point and true They want to take a lot of things back. They want to be able to have a country again. So, I think you're going have this happen more and more. I really believe that, and I think it's happening in the United States.

It's happening by the fact that I've done so well in the polls. You look at the recent polling, and you look at the swing states and you see how I'm doing, and I haven't even started my campaign yet, essentially

I don't make these headlines you do.

Wait one gosh darn second! I'm the conservative antagonist of these boards! I just happen to be quite busy right now and do not have a lot of time to enter the fray on every argument. Don't you dare try to find a replacement in my absence!

Okay, okay, let's go to the bullpen and call in BS44325.

Now this guy can really bring the heat late innings. Sometimes he's a little wild and struggles with his accuracy, but the hard throwing right hander does not screw around. His delivery is very different than PJFAN, who is more of a screwball, junk pitcher who tries to confuse you with his awkward delivery. But not BS... it's going to be straight chin music from now on.

How is he on a pinnacle? He's not even in the same conversation of Jobs, Gates, Eric Schmidt, and the other great business minds of the past 30 years. His shallowness as a candidate is a direct reflection of his shallowness as a businessman and a human.

Which is why he hasn't had that "inventor of successful institution who had personal issues" biopic that's all the rage lately.

Instead he gets a one hour mockubiopic (Did I just invent a word? ) on Funny Or Die starring Johnny Depp.

  • See, the Donald just went through a rough patch is all...
He's back on track because of his new campaign manager. http://www.wsj.com/articles/donald-trump-weathers-stormy-month-loses-only-2-points-versus-hillary-clinton-1466946000

“Donald Trump has had the worst month one can imagine, but Clinton’s negatives are so high the net impact on the ballot is almost invisible,”
