That not Meg ryan. Really?will myself to find a home, a home within myself
we will find a way, we will find our place0 -
Honestly, I think she (along with many other women - and men) look just weird and unnatural with injections and removals and whatever else.
Shit, young women are doing that stupid glass thing on their lips to get them puckered. Why?
It's not a route I need or want to take (then again, I'm a wuss when it comes to any kind of medical procedure), and I just don't get that need to hold onto physical youth and chasing that facade.
It's OK to get older, it's OK to have lines on your face - they reflect all of the laughs and cries and frowns and years of living.
They reflect our life.
So yeah, pretty sad to me at least the length some go to.
And to what end?0 -

I don't understand it either...she was a beautiful person so why make yourself look like the Joker?
I can see getting some surgery to stretch out wrinkles but to completely change your structure is an odd form of vanity.
Jennifer Grey is another one that is unrecognizable now.Remember the Thomas Nine !! (10/02/2018)

It's her face/body, and she can do what she wants, but I agree with others - she was a natural beauty. Now she just looks like a clown. Perhaps it is because I'm in my 50's, but I don't understand the allure of puckered lips that makes women look like ducks, overly stretched, shiny skin on the face, gravity defying fake boobs.etc...
This sums it up perfectly for me.hedonist said:

I don't get the fake boobs either. Just from my facebook feed I've been amazed at how some of my "friends" are really happy to always be posting major cleavage, etc.jeffbr said:It's her face/body, and she can do what she wants, but I agree with others - she was a natural beauty. I can understand if there were self confidence issues but damn we all know they are fake...how is that better than natural?Remember the Thomas Nine !! (10/02/2018)

I don't get it, but then again, I'm not a female celebrity. it is the pressure to remain young in their profession. the roles dry up when you reach 40 in hollywood as a female, with the rare exception (Meryl). the roles for men just get better. it's really sad that as a society we have put such unrealistic expectations on beauty and what it means to age gracefully (I thought it meant NOT surgery) for women, that if they want to keep working, they are basically forced to do this.
this is the fault of producers/directors/casting agents for creating this situation.By The Time They Figure Out What Went Wrong, We'll Be Sitting On A Beach, Earning Twenty Percent.0 -
Seems more about self-exposure (image) vs celebrity, though both might be considered similar nowadays.
"Regular" women - and men - are doing this to themselves.

I don't think shaming is the right thing to do, but I do feel like it's a damn shame what women do to themselves out of vanity nowadays.
I understand the empowerment argument, "it's my body and I have a right to do what makes me happy" but (maybe this is me being arrogant, so be it) if that is what makes you happy, you have some serious issues. It won't make you happy anyways.

A big part of that is that its a geographical sickness. People with body/vanity issues flood the region and spread their body/vanity issues until it becomes an epidemic.hedonist said:Seems more about self-exposure (image) vs celebrity, though both might be considered similar nowadays.

You are far more likely to find women with farmer tans, ball caps, overalls and boots, than botox, breast implants, and face lifts where I come from and live.Monkey Driven, Call this Living?0 -
and a woman in jeans, baseball cap, holding a beer, beats any fake boobs or smooth face any day of the week.rgambs said:

agree with this. never understood the appeal of fake boobs. i understand why celebrities do this type of plastic surgery and botox but man i think they look horrible, almost non-human. it's not a good look in my opinion.HughFreakingDillon said:

They look good in sweaters and under jackets, which really shows the mindset of those getting them sometimes, that they are concerned with how the appear to the world at large, not their inner circle.pjhawks said:

Believe it or not, they feel even worse than they look! Firm to the point of stiffness, with very little yield.
I used to help install them on women who'd had mastectomy surgery, one of several body modification ventures I, personally, support.Monkey Driven, Call this Living?0 -
I have seen many a fake breast on video, and most, if not all, look horribly weird. like two giant peaches on the chest. it's not natural. i don't think they look good under shirts either. you can tell a mile away they are fake.rgambs said:

my wife's boss had a double mastectomy because of cancer issues, and my wife says they look fantastic. not sure why porn stars get garbage jobs done and regular women get normal jobs done.By The Time They Figure Out What Went Wrong, We'll Be Sitting On A Beach, Earning Twenty Percent.0 -
Wow...I was going to list my family members who've had double mastectomies and realized there are so many.
Too many.
Most opted for reconstructive surgery, a couple didn't. To me, that's so on the opposite spectrum of what people choose to do to themselves in the name of vanity, misguidedness, attention...self-esteem too in some instances, I would imagine.
On the lighter side, fake boobs always remind me of that scene from LA Story with Sarah Jessica Parker and her real ones.0 -
Looks wise, she was the Precursor to Rachel McAdams back in the day. Sad to see this happen. I read she's kind of stuck up as well.0

I think thats a bad pic to base an opinion specific to her on._____________________________________SIGNATURE________________________________________________
