How do you report 10c members who are....

The problem is, if too many people do this, there will not be 10C tickets any more. The 10C tickets and the seniority thing exist to prevent scalping from happening. It could affect all of us some day.107 total First-Summerfest, Milwaukee '95

honestly, the original poster just had a simple question ... whom do I email to report a violation of 10C policy?
The people "flipping out" are the ones jumping down his throat.
The ones saying, "Don't worry about what other people are doing" are worrying what the original poster was doing.
This thread should have been two posts long. It got longer because people "flipped out" on the original poster.everybody wants the most they can possibly get

It should be noted that I did not jump down the original poster's throat about this. I don't agree with reporting the person but it isn't my call. I am simply making everyone that is "flipping out" look like an idiot."I'd like to thank all you mother fuckers. All you mother fuckers..." EV-10/03/050 -

holy shit. Who cares? I hope the guy quadruples his $$$$$. That's business. He pays his 10c dues. He's the one missin' out on the show.0 -

Anyway, those of you who argue against playing by the rules as if it's no big deal are part of the reason we have such a decaying society. As simple as it is, even cutting in line at recess is wrong, isn't it? 10C is the best $20 / year anyone could ever spend and to try to take advantage of it and their generosity is frustrating to a lot of us who realize that playing by the rules makes it a better experience and a better place for all of us.
The guy spends 20 bucks a year too, he can do whatever he likes.
You are acting as if the band letting us pay 20 bucks to get better seats is some sort of treat... it's not. It's called a buisness transaction.
The point is simple... do what you do and stop worrying about everyone else... that's what's fucked up in society. Everyone acting like they are fucking perfect and passing judgement on others.
Tell me, when was the last time you drove over the speed limit? I hope the car behinds you called the cops.0 -

There will still be a fan in that seat, so Pearl Jam isn't losing out. Probably a better fan if they're going to pay Ebay prices. So, really it's better for everyone. If they get caught, well that's the 10c's responsibility, and that person's loss. And I could give a shit about what Ian McKaye says. What has he ever done for me?
Paying ridiculous amounts for tickets does not make you a better fan, as you suggest. It makes you a richer fan that just doesn't get it. Scalping negatively affects all of us whether you choose to believe it or not.0 -
don't gimme no wrote:Anyone that feels like their 10C membership is "business" clearly doesn't get it. It's not about being perfect or passing judgement, but like someone else already mentioned, if scalping 10C tickets becomes common practice it will absolutely affect us all. And it will affect us more than just the $20 for membership because for most of us around here it's not about business. I'm fucking blown away by your post. The band is absolutely, without doubt doing us a favor. Sure we pay $20 but good God, we get so much for that $20. It's not as if they're racking in the dough from 10C memberships. In fact, I'd bet they're lucky to break even. Think about it. The time, energy, and hard work that go into each xmas single, artwork included, not to mention the cost of materials and shipping & handling. They've got a staff, you know? They answer random questions whether good or bad. Plus they're involved in every single show, making sure 10C members get their tickets and that those tickets are where they should be. Plus we now get the new Deep magazine which is very well put together and very high quality. Ya know what, fuck you and your "business transaction." You don't belong here.
Awww are you the fucking Pearl Jam police "You don't belong here"
That breaks my heart. Pearl Jam are a buisness.. they are in it to make money. It's cute that you have told yourself otherwise.
I pay for records, I (sometimes) pay for bootlegs (which are insanely overpriced), I pay for shows, I pay to be in the 10C.... it's buisness.
All of Ed's rambling about being "punk" and "low key" are BULLSHIT and they have proven that this summer with their ticket prices and lame ass lasers.
But it's ok... I understand it's a buisness... I pay my part, and they do their part.
Nothing about this set up makes me feel obligated to be a Pearl Jam Watchdog.
Yeah... and Pearl Jam are hurting... they are rich enough that they could do the fan club for 5 bucks, or even free.
Oh well, I'll go to work, and Ed and the boys can fly around in their jet TALKING about their ethics and live in their big houses, and I'll feel bad that someone scalped a ticket. They owe me nothing, and I owe them nothing.

there's a limited number of 10c tickets.
If scalping is allowed, all the fucking touts will just have to join, get the 10c tickets and resell them..and the genuine 10c members will miss out on those.
When you can't manage to get a 10c ticket anymore (like many already did this tour, whatever the seniority), you'll start giving a shit maybe!
and just a reminder:
10c stands for tenclub, not tencompany

I used to wonder if I'd run into any of them on the message board and if so what they'd have to say. Well, I no longer wonder. Ya know what, you've even changed my mind on scalping the 10c tix. Please sell yours on eBay because as you argued, I'm sure they will go to a better fan.
That's ok. I'll keep my 10C tickets so I can go to shows without the hassle.
Oh wait, it is a hassle... for 20 bucks/person they can't even get a good working computer system.
I hope at the next show someone spills a whole beer on you, and you go run and tell security.0 -

Again, you have failed to give me a reason as to why I would care if people resell tickets, but thanks for trying."I'd like to thank all you mother fuckers. All you mother fuckers..." EV-10/03/050 -

Why might we lose it? I thought the 10 clubbers had a say?

No, I can read just fine. I'm simply saying that you have yet to give me a reason that I would care if someone sells tickets on eBay. Try again."I'd like to thank all you mother fuckers. All you mother fuckers..." EV-10/03/050 -

Getting seats in the 1st, 1st, 5th, 5th and 2nd rows this tour is a treat for $20.......it amounts to $2 extra per ticket, and I don't have to worry about getting the tix thru ticketmaster.
In this case, we need to show concern over other's actions......a few bad apples can spoil it for the masses.
No one is saying they are perfect...they are merely pointing out that someone is acting contrary to club policy, which obviously isn't a life/death situation, however, it is something that could effect 10C ticketing in the future.
There is nothing wrong with worrying about other's actions if you are effected by said actions.
Worrying about peoples private lives and invading other's privacy is what is fucked up with society, but self-policing is needed by society at times!0
