Well that's true. But you know that I'm trying to say; I'd rather him do right by a bunch of 20-30 year olds who are sending him money from their parents bank accounts than Hillary do George Soros' bidding.JC29856 said:
Actually Bernie does want what's best for his donors!Ledbetterman10 said:He'll get my vote in the primary just because I hate Hillary. And I do think that he's the only candidate that really wants the best for America rather than what's best for his donors (or in the case of Trump, what's best for himself). I just don't think many of his proposals are feasible.

Bernie Sanders’ net worth is $528,014. Our Bernie Sanders net worth calculations come from analyzing his U.S. Senate financial disclosure forms.
U.S. Senators aren’t required to disclose their exact net worth. The closest anyone can get to Bernie Sanders’ net worth is to dig through disclosure forms and do the math. Since senators report assets and debts within preset ranges, finding Bernie Sanders’ net worth means averaging reported max and min figures.
In August of 2015, Bernie Sanders reported net worth assets at a minimum of $187,026 and a max of $759,004. Sanders also owns a condominium in Vermont valued at about $100,000. He has debts of at least $25,002 and as much as $65,000.
Figuring Sanders’ maximum possible debt and minimum possible assets gives a minimum possible Bernie Sanders net worth of $222,026. Figuring lowest possible debt and highest possible assets gives a net worth a high as $769,002. Combining average assets with average debt gives an average Bernie Sanders net worth of $528,014.

Not really enough to retire on but I presume he will get a good govt pension, paid for by Capitalists.0 -
Bernie Sanders’ net worth comes almost entirely from his 44 year career in politics.
Bernie Sanders’ net worth is affected by $25,002 to $65,000 in credit card debt. Sanders lists two Visa Card debts, one from $10,001 to $15,000 and the other from $15,001 to $50,000. Sanders must keep up with his payments, because the interest rate on the first card is only 8.5% and the second is 10.25%
He clearly is an incompetent investor0 -

This is the real problem - it all boils down to nobody with power actually caring how people are affected by politicians and what they do. It's like they aren't living on the same plane as us. Like they think they are real and we are all part of some elaborate video game or something. Ultimate consequences for citizens seems to have become almost completely irrelevant for these people, and, as far as I can tell, for a majority of politicians as well.pickupyourwill said:What's scary is all the pressure these candidates have on them now that many people have donated money. Bernie is so sweet. I just caught a bit of the s.c. town hall (taping it) and it was the part where he was being asked about what issue he would or would not compromise, even if it meant losing the election. And he basically said none--that he has so many counting on him, he doesn't want to let them down.
But I feel bad that he puts that much pressure on himself.
Then they had a commercial for show on CNN coming up sometime with Kevin Spacey narrating called The Race to the White House--about other elections of the past where people involved were killed along the way. In my opinion, our country hasn't changed that much.
I'm afraid that some of these rich elite are treating this election just like they would a football game they bet on or a horse race, not really caring about who gets hurt in the process. Will it be like Putin and the Winter Olympics' epic fail when the fifth circle wouldn't open at opening ceremonies? He had someone killed because of that you know. Our country is not very far from that way of thinking. When rich people gamble with their money and the outcome isn't right, they can use their power for evil. What do you all think? With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy. ~ Desiderata0 -

Oh, the power of a capitalistic nation. Of COURSE, politicians do not think of the people, they think about their money! They think about their power! It has nothing to do with the population at all. There's a reason they are all out of touch, it's because they don't know how real people live and they don't give a damn either.PJ_Soul said:

Didn't Trump file for corporate bankruptcy four times?? I am surprised any supporter of Trump would trot out this inconsequential little stat about Bernie's two personal credit cards when Trump's businesses keep on going bankrupt, lol. With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Looking increasingly like Sanders is going to get crushed on Super Tuesday. Vermont, maybe Massachusetts...and that may be it. Recent polling has every other state going to Clinton. Many of them in blowouts.

You guys really follow polls? Polls are made up and they mean nothing, they really do. It is the manipulation of the media at its finest . Just ignore the news, a lot of bullshit out there. But to mention polls, they are saying that Bernie is ahead of Hillary so what does that say?
It's all about getting out the vote at this point. Get out and vote in the primaries. That's what makes a difference.0 -
I very sadly know that Bernie can't win this rigged game. But I completely agree that polls are meaningless. BC experienced just how useless they really are in the last Provincial election. The polls had the NDP leading handily right up until the polls closed. And the Liberals won handily. I will never pay attention to what a poll says again. With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy. ~ Desiderata0

Can you lay out the math that would give Bernie the nomination? I don't see him winning many more states, and Super Tuesday should eliminate him mathematically. He may stay in to keep pulling Hillary to the left, but I don't see any realistic road map for him at this point. I suppose it could happen, but it seems more fantasy than reality now. He ran a good campaign, had strong populist support, and seems like he genuinely cares, but there's no way he can beat the DNC. Popular vote keeps it interesting, but those super delegates will crush him.Free said:You guys really follow polls? Polls are made up and they mean nothing, they really do.
