    This.
Get a place to stay anywhere in Old Quebec or near Chateau Frontenac and you will not be void of craft beers and food.

    Google Old Quebec images.

Make sure your pit stop is not between 3:25 and 5:00.

Looking online doesn't look like any hotels close to the venue. Quite a few B&Bs but I prefer a hotel.

I am in. Drove here from CT in 2005 and looking forward to another show in this wonderful city. Plenty of hotels near the port. There is really nothing near the venue.

The majority of hotels are either in Ste-Foy or Old Quebec, neither of which are feasible walks to the venue. There are a couple of good places that are an easy 30 min. walk / 10 min. drive however. Check out the Royal William on Charest, the Tryp by Windham or the Best Western Plus on De La Couronne. Much less touristy than old Quebec but I love the area and tons of hidden gems as far as food is concerned.

    Quebec is not New York.
Call a cab it will be there in 5mins and will get you to the venue for $15.
  • I agree that the cab will be relatively cheap but if it is leaving from where most hotels are any time between 4 and 7 on a Thursday, I promise you it won't be 5 minutes. The city is not made for driving; the combination of rush hour traffic in Quebec and the worst traffic light system I've ever seen makes for a very frustrating experience. Things are far more fluid outside rush hour however.
  • The city is not made for driving agreed.
But Quebec does not even know what is about to descend on their city.
It will be business as usual for cabs and patrons left out are the ones furthest from the venue.

I'm in for this one and already booked a room! Coming from Portland and been to QC a 1/2 dozen times - mostly on the way to ski La Massif. I really like the drive thru the Chain of Ponds just before you get to the border. Spectacular views. Can't wait.

I can assure you that Quebec knows what's comin'... They have "Le festival d'été de Québec" each year and are aware of all the hype of a huge group comin' in town. Last year i went to AC/DC and the year before for Soundgarden and it was jammed all around Old Quebec.

The arena is not downtown so it will not be as jammed as the festival....

Heres a link to the festival... you can see who came before 2016 and who's comin' this year (Festival opens with Sting and Peter Gabriel in 2016)

  • Old Quebec could be as close to a Euro tour we are going to see this year.
