Trying to decide between the Miami show or the Lauderdale show. Want to stay at a place within walking distance of the venue. Any help would be appreciated!

For BB&T I booked the DoubleTree, 1 mile away for $119, back in October

I'm thinking about doing FtL, Miami and Tampa. Most likely stay by the Miami airport. Can anyone comment how easy it would be to Uber to BB&T and back? From Uber site it looks like a $35ish ride each way.

Planning on Ft. Lauderdale and Miami - isn't this during spring break?

I work at a high school in MN and these shows fall on our spring break. I'd imagine some colleges will be on break during this time as well

Miami show is going to be the easiest. BB&T is out in the middle of nowhere. The Miami Show is in Downtown Miami, therefore lots of stuff within walking distance, and access to our public transportation. And in downtown the trolley and people mover are free!

Uber is pretty dependable down here. Make sure you leave for the show early because traffic sucks but for 35 each way, you might as well rent a car and have freedom to travel on your own, especially if you are staying at the airport. Honestly I would look into stay in other areas, like downtown, midtown, wynwood. Just avoid 8th street, that is where people go for the hourly rate...lol... unless that is what you are looking for...lol ;)

It is always tourist season here in Miami...lol... It shouldn't really effect anything, especially since neither show is on the beach. =) I think you should be more worried about all the crazy pearl jam fans! lol

College spring break is in March but high school sb is in April. It looks like 4 star rooms are creeping up in prices for the miami and lauderdale areas. Even Hollywood rooms are getting high $.

Just talked things over with the wife and were in for ft Lauderdale and Miami, come on lottery...fingers crossed. They will be 3rd & 4th selections for reserved seating, what you think the chances are that we could actually win of the shows or even both?

I think your odds are pretty good. Even if you don't get 10c tickets you can probably still get decent ticketmaster tickets.

Miami sounds like a fun place to see Pearl Jam. One of my old co-workers saw Pearl Jam there back in the day..said it was wild!!..said he had just got sober about 6 months earlier and he was all emotional
.. and listening to the music and Eddie's voice was awesome!
The rain, the people come running in through holes in the fence, then..his teen daughter came back bloody lipped from moshin..all the emotions..he was in tears..but in a good way!

I think that was the last time they played Miami. Lots of people jumped the wall, tour down the walls, went through the walls, to get to the show. 20+ years ago.

It's going to be nuts. I think lots of South American fans will be at this one...so lots of singing.
