I didn't realize it was so new. They may want to get a refund.

PJ seams to love the smaller arenas however. Last fall the Detroit and Moline shows were the smallest arenas on the tour and were arguably the best shows. I've also heard them mention in interviews they prefer the smaller 10,000ish capacity arenas. So Jax has potential!
    Summerfest 7/8/95
    Missoula 6/20/98
    Alpine Valley 6/26/98 & 6/27/98
    Alpine Valley 10/8/00
    Champaign 4/23/03
    Alpine Valley 6/21/03
    Missoula 8/29/05
    Chicago 5/16 & 17/06
    Grand Rapids 5/19/06
    Summerfest 6/29/06 & 6/30/06
    Tampa 6/12/08
    Chicago 8/23/09
    Indy 5/7/10
    Alpine Valley x2 2011
    Wrigley 2013
    Milwaukee 14
    Telluride 16

I loved the Sweatatorium(Spotatorium). The smell of weed, the tailgating,The huge shows, traffic, people pukeing.WSHE(She's only Rock and Roll) and 99 IZD cranking on stereo speakers on top of cars in the lot.Man o man the buzz is coming back.

All best shows would go there ,and the smaller more artsy acts would play Sunrise musical theatre.

the Spaceship that was/is the West Palm Auditorium, aka the Jehovah dome would get mid size shows like Cheap Trick,Ratt and Nugent.

Remember the Orange Bowl and Tangerine Bowl would get the Rock Superbowls(Todays 4 band bill) And of course Ft.Lauderdale Baseball Stadium would get the Florida Jam and Pearl Jam back in the day.

I still think the best Venue in South Florida now is hands down Cruzan,Coral Sky,Perfect Vodka Amphitheatre.BB and T is the best of the Arenas for Comfort ,travel and Sound.AA is all right.I think Tampa is better.
Don't sell out on Jax.That will be a a smaller venue and Jvile crowds know how to rock.Thats why the Welcome To Rockville 2 day fest is there every year.
  • I cannot wait....if all the dates are correct, this will be my first opportunity to see more than one show on a tour. Living in Fort Lauderdale, I normally only saw them come to Coral Sky / Cruzan / Mars Music / Whatever the hell it's sponsor is this week Amphitheater. Will definitely be buying tix for Fort Lauderdale, Miami, and Tampa. Haven't seen the full band down here since the 2008 tour (Avocado) and Ed in Fort Lauderdale a couple of years ago.
And if we're also getting a new album as well?
To quote Homer Simpson, "Woo Hoo!!"
09/23/1998 - West Palm Beach, FL - Coral Sky Ampitheater
08/09/2000 - West Palm Beach, FL - Mars Music Ampitheater
04/11/2003 - West Palm Beach, FL - Sound Advice Ampitheater
10/08/2004 - Orlando, FL - Silver Spurs Arena (A.C.T. Tour)
06/11/2008 - West Palm Beach, FL - Cruzan Ampitheater

We fly down with my in-laws to FLL every March Break and stay in Aventura for the week, will be March 12-19 in 2016. I'm actually glad I won't be around for the shows 3 weeks later - this way I can devote myself to the family without any distractions and enjoy pool time with the kids. Should be great shows in FL for sure.

It's funny: I never understood the FL appeal until we started flying down with the kids as soon as they were born. Walking around the condo building on the way to the pool, the kids look down ad see little salamanders running around. Only a 3 hour flight from Toronto. Great weather, friendly people and a culture that's very welcoming to all the Canadians flying down for the winter. Definitely spend while down there but it's a pleasure to, so your state will see more of my currency for sure (if you tell my wife I said this I will absolutely deny it lol).

  • Florida in general is a bad concert market (just like its a bad sports market). There should be plenty of seats for all 4 shows! That being said, I hope to make it down for Miami and Ft. Lauderdale as my folks live in the Florida Keys and April is a decent time to visit before it gets too hot.

Bad sports market since there are so many transplants. I'm not sure there is an excuse as to why it's a bad concert market, other than... you drink, you sweat it out, you're exhausted and miserable by the time the band comes on. This is true for the outdoor shows for sure (and Bucs/Dolphins games).

Well if the rumoured dates are true, my wife and I will be hitting up FLL & Miami if true. We also been going to Singer Island near West Palm Beach since 2009 every Dec for 10 days and we love it down there. We always said if PJ goes back to Florida, we are definatley are going.
The wife always does her Xmas shopping then too, so I do my part in help lowering your toes lol
As I type this message, Black just popped on radio.....maybe a sign!

Maybe demographics. Bad concert market for my type of music. If you are into the EDM scene, its a great market...

I live close enough to Amela to throw rocks at it and I'm also hitting up Miami. Just booked my room in Miami. Rates are pretty cheap for the hotels around the arena. A Monday show in Tampa will likely be a prime show to get close to the stage or get great seats. With the day off in between Miami and Tampa, I'm betting the band will be staying on Harbour Island at the Westin. Might be worth stalking the area to see if the guys are hanging out around town.
