No, the one holding her hand was definitely Unkar Plutt, the junk dealer. You can see his fat green hand, plain as day. And he may seem like scum but maybe he's her "Obi-Wan" because he would be the most unsuspecting character. He doesn't have to be a good guy to be that role. He's a barterer and perhaps he was offered something in exchange for keeping an eye on Rey.

Yep, you're right. Plutt not Tekka....

I like the OB1 theory but he is from the old Jedi order where marriage or any sort of attachment was forbidden. Having said that, in ep4 he tells Luke when he meets him that ''I was once a jedi knight....", if he says he used to be a jedi knight one can assume he is no longer a knight thus can have a marriage.

Obi wan never says the words 'I was once a Jedi knight' nor any alternate version of that statement nor does he infer verbally that he currently is or formerly was a Jedi. At any point in episode 4

    Ps it's Obi wan.

Not OB1, which sounds like some Jedi droid somewhere.

I was thinking, it is crucial how Lor San Tekka got the map data.
Whoever dropped off Rey on Jakku as a child would've given the map to Lor San Tekka.
If Kylo Ren dropped her off then I doubt he would have done that as he is after the map.
Unless he dropped Rey off and someone else gave the map to Lor San Tekka.

Still think she is some kind of Force baby that was created using Luke's severed hand as a template. So she is kind of, sort of but not really Luke's daughter.

Or jerked off in a cryogenic space cup and entrusted it to the Jawa's for safe keeping

I don't like that cloned from Luke's hand theory. I'd hate if that were the reveal.
I like the Obi Wan relation.

    not necessarily

Kenobi was killed as an old (likely no longer potent) man somewhere around 30-35 yrs ago based on ages of Solo and Leia, Rey looks to be 18-22 range. Yeah its not really possible.

I was watching ep 4 last night and noticed how Luke is playing with a toy of a space fighter and remembered Rey did the same when she was sitting by her AT-AT home. A clue they are very alike thus father/daughter?

She was left with Tekka, not the junk dealer. Tekka is her Obi-Wan.

It says in the script she is left with Unkar plat
