A handful probably means less than 85 (amount of chrome ones). Someone stack 84 posters and see if you can fit your hand around them! Lolsevered hand thirteen2006: Gorge 7/23 2008: Hartford 6/27 Beacon 7/1 2009: Spectrum 10/30-31

I hear ya. I would have been happy to have any of the three they offered today.I chose to pull the trigger on the Gold and intend to have it framed and added to my collection. Still hope i get one as advertised. My confirmation number from Ames is lower than any others posted here today as well and my email confirmation from Ames is timed at 6:01 Central. I got in there quick!dankind said:Why is it dirty? A handful is relative, no?
Did you buy it because you liked it? Or did you buy it because you thought it was more limited?
If the former, then awesome! You're getting the kickass poster that you wanted. If the latter, then maybe the lesson there is don't spend $250 on something you don't really like or want just because it's still available.
I'm saying this as someone who has yet to learn this lesson.
My concern is as advertised. They positioned it as the top tier, more limited than the other two offerings, and priced it accordingly. If this is not the case it is fraudulent to represent a item on offer as very limited when it in fact isn't.
as a collector you pay for scarcity. Nothing to do with intention to resell.. but scarcity does have value if you intend to hold for the long term or not.
IF NOTHING IS EVERYTHING, I'LL HAVE IT ALL.

I don't think it's dirty. I just think not numbering it makes it less valuable, so they shouldn't not number the highest priced variant. I take full ownership of paying way too much for something with less perceived value than the other two releases. I clearly haven't learned my lesson either but I think I'm getting better as each year passes!dankind said:Why is it dirty? A handful is relative, no?

If I were them I'd print a decepticons variant and offer it to the people who bought the oversold gold if that's the case. If they can make purple apes and chewbacca/bigfoot then why not purple robots.{Alpine Valley '03/United Center '06/Summerfest '06 (Both Nights!!)/Alpine Valley '11 (PJ20) (Both Nights!!)/Wrigley Field '13}

I got a gold after getting denied at checkout for both the chrome and reg. I was rather surprised it was still available... After reading this thread it HAD to be oversold. Oh well. I got a regular show edition being sent to me by a buddy so I don't really need an AP I guess0

Harry Caray is indeed numbered xx/55!Suziemay said:
Is that true? I only noticed with the recent ones, like the St Paul Heavy Metal edition which I also stupidly bought because I was on a plane that just landed and frantically tried to get what I could.shecky said:
I don't think most Ames variants are numbered but I agree with you that they should be.Suziemay said:I got the gold before I realized they weren't numbered. Limited editions should be numbered. The end.
I went with the chrome for that reason - hope it's numbered "_/85".
Is the Harry Caray variant numbered? Print run is on expressobeans which makes me think it is.

If you like the print, buy it. Who cares how limited it is.... unless you plan on flipping it.
This transformers hype is insane. I would never hang this anywhere. Maybe if my kid had a racecar bed and was a huge transformers and pearl Jam fan... even then... $250 for this print is laughable. I suspect a lot of people are "speculating" and are hoping this thing brings returns of high end vinyl and prints.

I'm getting there, too. I hope.I SAW PEARL JAM0 -
I think you could say that about just about any print. Posters are so subjective that what's cool to you is a dud to someone else. I think the combo of a NYC show, the lone US appearance and the Transformers subject matter will make it a sought after poster. Especially if people love the show on Saturday.MayDay10 said:If you like the print, buy it. Who cares how limited it is.... unless you plan on flipping it.

However I agree about the variants. $250 for a poster is kind of ridiculous but to each their own.1996: Randall's Island 2 1998: East Rutherford | MSG 1 & 2 2000: Cincinnati | Columbus | Jones Beach 1, 2, & 3 | Boston 1 | Camden 1 & 2 2003: Philadelphia | Uniondale | MSG 1 & 2 | Holmdel 2005: Atlantic City 1 2006: Camden 1 | East Rutherford 1 & 2 2008: Camden 1 & 2 | MSG 1 & 2 (#25) | Newark (EV) 2009: Philadelphia 1, 2 & 4 2010: Newark | MSG 1 & 2 2011: Toronto 1 2013: Wrigley Field | Brooklyn 2 | Philadelphia 1 & 2 | Baltimore 2015: Central Park 2016: Philadelphia 1 & 2 | MSG 1 & 2 | Fenway Park 2 | MSG (TOTD) 2017: Brooklyn (RnR HOF) 2020: MSG | Asbury Park 2021: Asbury Park 2022: MSG | Camden | Nashville 2024: MSG 1 & 2 (#50) | Philadelphia 1 & 2 | Baltimore 2025: Raleigh0 -
