  • Is Ames known for overselling, I thought they were one of the better sites?
  • Well that was fun. Let's see what happens in 3-4 weeks...

I got the gold before I realized they weren't numbered. Limited editions should be numbered. The end.

Every other print I clicked, listed the run amount.

Agreed. I feel like this is an Ames selling tactic. In the end, you really have no idea the amount.
  • Handful = let's see how many of these we can sell and that is the number we'll print. Chrome will look better anyway.

    I hope it's less than 85.

I don't think most Ames variants are numbered but I agree with you that they should be.
I went with the chrome for that reason - hope it's numbered "_/85".

Is that true? I only noticed with the recent ones, like the St Paul Heavy Metal edition which I also stupidly bought because I was on a plane that just landed and frantically tried to get what I could.

Is the Harry Caray variant numbered? Print run is on expressobeans which makes me think it is.

they did something similar with the St. Paul poster, some versions were limited but they never said how many were printed. They had around 3 versions then too.

  • its not "a handful" anymore. They already updated the page and it does not say edition size

Between the highest order number and lowest order number there was still less than 300 orders across all 3 versions. The Gold run should still be less than 85.
  • seems to be a lot of posts here and on FB from people who scored a gold. More than a handful anyway??

my order # is low 9900 and they authorized my CC already.

ames wouldn't say only a handful, charge $250 and then print a shit ton would they?
