First you got me rocking of the tour. Also only the second Wild Horses this tour. You're gettng atleast 3-4 variables a night.

I could do without YGMR, however Mick seems to really like this song. We got it in Vegas a few years ago. It's not a bad song, but I can think of so many other songs (even recent ones) they should play instead. I heard an early demo of it with Keith singing on IORR a few months ago and it was really cool.

  • In Nashville the whole fan song vote thing was fake. Walked by the stadium at 5:30 and heard the band rehearsing Dead Flowers with Brad Paisley. They were still running the fan vote graphic before the show for no reason.

Yeah, i think the same. They know what song there going to play.

Too much of a basic set list for me.

Either that or they felt it was one they wanted to rehearse with someone who they hadn't played it with.

And really, I'm not sure I care that much, to tell you the truth.

Anyone see a song vote for Pittsburgh yet?

There was a Pittsburgh vote but it was last minute and wasn't up for long. And I think I read on IORR that an hour after it went up that they were rehearsing the winner, Paint It Black. The other choices were Shattered, All Down The Line and Ain't Too Proud To Beg.

Anything off IORR that isn't the title track (which I do enjoy hearing) would be a rare treat for any show.

You sure it was Ain't Too Proud To Beg? I was looking on setlist.fm (which usually appears correct but who knows), and it doesn't show it being played on the No Security Tour. It shows they played it a few times in 75/76, then didn't play it again until the Licks Tour in 02/03, which was apparently the last time it was played.

Your right! It was "Just My Imagination." Still a great cover!

Could have sworn it was played at that show. Another reason for not drinking heavily at shows anymore. It's amazing how much more one can remember.

    Milwaukee song vote looks good...

    - Like A Rolling Stone

    - Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo (Heartbreaker)

    - Rocks Off

    - Just My Imagination

Any one of those would be great in my opinion. Rocks Off was very good in Arlington.

Milwaukee was good, but believe it or not, I think I enjoyed MPLS more. The venue was small, good sight lines, good sound, and I liked the set list more. But the crowd was pretty rough in some areas (or maybe just mine; did anyone else have a drunk girl take a piss directly behind them?), and it actually got bad enough in terms of behavior issues (they were kicked out) that it was distracting from the show. This from a guy who's seen hundreds of metal/hardcore/punk shows.

But still, it was cool to see them and flubs aside (they were there), they sounded pretty good.

Fairly pedestrian song vote for KC. Street Fightin Man, Cloud, Live With Me, Ain't Too Proud To Beg. I'd take any of them, as I've only seen Cloud before, but nothing super rare there.

There have been about 1000 of those over the years at IORR. Miss You or Keith's Set seem to be the most popular times to take leak. I can understand Miss You (though I'm glad I didn't at Arlington as it was actually pretty damn good), but I would never miss Keith's set.

    I was there!!

That was my first time seeing the Stones. Unreal....I don't know if this is their last tour but they sure look and act like they have a few more years left. I have to say that it was the best concert I've ever seen. Roughly 50,000 people there....I was too far back to see much on stage but the three giant screens put you right up there with them. The sound was awesome.

The venue sucked....very little order to each section. The majority of the venue was gravel. I can't imagine how anyone could have left their spot (in the middle....we stayed off to the side after our first restroom break) to use the restroom and found their way back. They let people take blankets in there so they were "staking their claim" by laying down blankets which made it almost impossible to walk around with stepping on peoples stuff.

I did appreciate that they sold alcohol right up until the end which surprised me....I bought a beer right before the encore.

I agree the venue had some issues, the blankets should not have been there and security should have been a little less lax. That being said from what i heard this was the biggest stage ever constructed in the state of Indiana, the biggest non-race crowd ever at the speedway, I didnt see anything get out of hand, and the sound was PHENOMENAL!
I ended up front and center in the silver section, had a decent view of the stage but the screens were very nicely done. I agree they look like they could keep going a few more years, they brought way more energy than i expected and seemed to be enjoying themselves. Just hope if they do come around again theyll bring a better opener with...

Today's the day!!! Anyone else heading to Comerica Park tonight? I'm super duper excited! First Stones show, so anything they play is A-OK with me! Hoping to hear Wild Horses the most, as it's a song that means a lot to me. Not so sure we'll get it since it was played last show, but here's to hoping!

The show last night was beyond words. Easily one of the best shows I've ever been to. Where to even begin? Well, before the show got to meet former Red Wing (and Eddie's pal) Chris Chelios, so that was pretty neat! Got to the park and had great seats in the 200s section, which gave us a great view of everything. The show was on fire for every second of those 2 hours and 15 minutes. I was expecting a great show, but I really wasn't expecting them to be THAT on point--everything was even better than I was hoping for! Highlights were Just My Imagination (great nod to Motown), Moonlight Mile, Bitch, Midnight Rambler, Gimme Shelter (holy crap Lisa Fischer...what a powerhouse!), and Sympathy for the Devil. Was also funny to hear all of Mick's Michigan references throughout the night (from Ernie Harwell to Yoopers to Lafayette/American Coney), cool of him to do--wonder how long it took him to learn all the lingo.

Really one of the best days I've had in a while. What a treat to be able to see such legends, and to see them just kick ass, and have a great time. The Stones are the coolest cats on the planet (at one point, my boyfriend even joked 'I'm gonna take up smoking, cause Ronnie makes it look so damn cool' ) I'll be thinking about this show for a long time!
