I think a man named Jesus walked the earth. And I do think he walked the earth claiming he was the son of God. I'm pretty sure though that the people during Jesus' time put him in the same category as we put a David Koresh or a Jim Jones today.

But yet such a person is not mentioned in any writings at the time that supposedly occurred....not once. It would seem like such a person would get a lot of attention by writers in that area....none.

Google "similarities between Mithra and Christ"...it's the same story being told over and over again and as it makes its way through the grapevine little things are added

I wish I could explain how simple it is.. And as for Jesus existing.. Yes, historically he DID exist.. You need to examine that history.. There IS historical proof of acounts that took place in the Bible.

As for fact based minds.. I feel
Bad for those types.. Because you have no ability to grasp alternate aspects of our world. As a Christian we call this outside force if you will God. I have no
Idea what the atheists refer to it as.. Or if you even acknowledge that there IS something beyond our mortal 'natural' comprehension, that is out there. Science only covers so much. I have seen people healed through my prayers. And I'm not a charlatan preacher seeding 'lame' folks into my audience, yet when I was 13, I prayed over a child with a broken leg, and the very next day, saw that same child RUN into our encampment yelling in Creole that he woke up and he could walk.. He hobbled home on crutches, leg still broken, and it was OBVIOUSLY broken... But tan back to school the next day.. That kid was in our camp for the rest of the summer, begging us to teach him about God do he could share with his friends.. It was the ONLY time I ever saw anything like that other than TV evangelists, or sponsored productions. But after that.. Even when I walked away from my faith.. I still KNEW there was a God. So no one can sway my belief.. I'be SEEN MIRACLES.. And I know. But how sad that people can't wrap
Their heads around something as simple as.. Believe..

Actually the burden would be on YOU to provide proof of the historical accounts....I say that no writings exist that described Jesus performing miracles at the time he was supposedly alive. Yes there are plenty written a few hundred years later but that is irrelevant. There are plenty of stories about Santa Claus that we would certainly agree aren't true as well.

And I'm sorry but if you can heal people with your prayers please go to the nearest Children's Hospital and do that. Come on.

Edit: And please invite a news crew to record the healings....you need to make this well known and heal the masses please.

Sorry WH, you lost me at the part where you said you healed a child with your prayers. And you say I (we) don't have the ability to grasp aspects? I'm not judging, feel free to believe what you wish. I just refuse to believe you have healing powers.

I too can't grasp the healing notion - the logistics of it (and maybe there are none?)...although Resurrection is one of my favorite films.

I would have ignored your claim of being a faith healer if you hadn't included the judgmental pity in your post. I have an ability to grasp alternate aspects of our world (whatever that means). Concepts like love don't need an explanation in my mind. Neither does death and the afternlife. It is what it is, and if there is some grand plan for us to understand someday, so be it. Not knowing doesn't bother me, and I will never live my life a certain way out of fear of the unknown, and a need to 'know'. As for concepts/theories on the universe, creation, and other big-picture questions....I have no problem accepting that we are simply animals, young in our existence, and still learning. If we find a way for our species to survive indefinitely, I think we will answer most of these questions eventually....yes, through the scientific process. Science does not 'only cover so much'. It covers everything - more than religion, in that it is not limited by scripture and tradition. And it can accept the unexplainable as 'we're not there yet', without guessing, believing, and calling it faith.
As for your faith healing claims....I don't mind one bit calling bullshit.
The kid was either already in a cast or splint of some kind if you knew it was 'obviously' broken (a doctor too?).....or if it wasn't in a cast, and the injury just happened, then it wasn't broken. A kid doesn't break their frickin leg and hobble home on crutches. I've seen a lot of kids act like they got shot from a small but painful injury that is not serious, and they're fine the next day.
And....I would also posit that you ARE a charlatan preacher since you're preaching this story to convince us 'lame' folks who can't wrap our heads around something simple, that your faith is grounded in a 'miracle' you supposedly witnessed.

I have to say, I agree with everything Drowned said.

the notion that you "feel sorry for" people who don't believe as you do is condescending at best, not to mention against everything Jesus is said to have stood for.

and you healed a broken leg with your prayers? um.....I'll leave that one alone.
