Bring your video cameras! Record some songs! Contribute to the multi-cam effort for this show. The goal will be to use all original footage so that it's true 1080P. Those of us that make these shows will be in the arena but we need help!
please keep your cameras down.. we dont need any more amateur cameramen. just remember, you're blocking the person behind you and someone else is already doing a better job than you filming..
Couldn't agree more
Seriously. Keep your iphone in your pocket. Live in the moment. Enjoy the experience.
Snap a few pics - fine. Block my view with your "video camera" up in front of me all night and that's a problem.
I'll be filming. Let me know when we have a problem.

I would appreciate you answering this honestly:
Let's say I end up directly in front of you at the show. And let's say that for the entirety of the concert I am holding something up above my head, partially (or even fully) blocking your view. Your view, that is, at a concert you likely paid nearly $100 to attend not to mention travel time and related costs. Would that be a problem for you if I wouldn't lower whatever it is in my hands that I have raised up over my head?
For the record I would ask you to stop blocking my view. I would not be looking for a fight. It's just extremely rude and selfish. And like the other guy said - there are other people doing a better job filming professionally.
Yeah i dont think anyone is looking for a fight. Just be courtious people, keep your phones and cameras down, enjoy the show. Someone else will be filming it and doing a better job for whenyou want to go re-live it. Its not cool to the people behind you to hold up a camera all night just to get a few youtube hits. The kind of people that take their filming really serious usually find themselves a seat where they can do it without bLocking anyone and while getting a great shot, like the front row of the 200s or something. Leave it up to them and enjoy the show!
I'm 6'2" 225, so if you can't see, it's not because of the camera. And I didn't ask anyone to be rude and ignore someone if they are blocking the view. You went to the extreme. Elevated seats provide the advantage that you can see over people. At the same time, don't tell me we'll have a problem because that's aggravating too. I have had a hundred people PM me for the shows and there are literally hundreds of downloads of the work we do. So yeah, someone is recording professionally, but no one ever sees that footage and relies on what we capture. I'm asking for help. If you don't want to help, no problem. If someone is blocking your view, then ask them to stop. But there is nothing wrong with recording.
If you'd rather spend 3 hours watching the show through a camera lens, then I guess it's your world. To each their own - just don't want my view blocked all night. And I do appreciate the comment above about filmers finding strategic spots in the venue.
Russel it seems like youre encouraging anyone with a camera to film, just let a few people do it and be done with it. Concerts these days definitely dont need MORE people filming them. The few that do film a lot know how to do it properly. Im not talking about professional camera people either. Im talking about amatuers that care enough to do it right, not just sending out an opencall to anyone with a camera. Who wants hundreds of people holding phones in the air all night? Keep the thing in your pocket and listen up.
There are typically 3-4 shots of a song available, tops. There are 20k people in the arena. The chances are you are affected are excruciatingly low, almost as excruciating as this conversation. JCH, I'm not the messiah. Me asking people to record doesn't make it happen. And if someone walks into the arena with a video cam, they are recording. You don't walk that in without the intent. Can you all just please lighten up?
soooooooooooo excited!!!!! I have been on PJ withdrawl/depression since losing the lottery for the Wrigley show! CAN'T WAIT FOR FRIDAY!!!!! ayeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
oh and just my two cents but WHY would you want to record more than a few minutes of something like this on your phone?!!! I will be pissed if the person in front of me is holding up a phone the whole time, I'll tell you that. ENJOY THE SHOW, the EXPERIENCE!!!!
