Wow, very nice! How's the sound on these Wil, noticeable difference to the recent Stereo versions?

Did you mean to answer here reesdog? I am wondering the same thing... I'm thinking maybe the stereo box will really go down in price now that the mono box has been released... but is the difference big enough to forget about saving money?
I picked up the Stereo box for $100 mid-summer. I would have preferred to have the MONO set, but the price tag is honestly too expensive for me.

I actually heard that if you buy each LP separately it is cheaper than buying the box set. I haven't added up the prices, but I might try that to see if I can save some money.

Wow, $87!? What a deal! Was it by auction?

    Yes, it was.

I was trying to get No Code for some time now. I've had few chances in the last few weeks but they were just too expensive to me, I set myself a limit and I wouldn't go over it, no matter how painful it was. I tried on 10c forum few weeks ago as well but the guy wouldn't reduce the price to $100 so I passed on this one too. Only few days before I bought that one I was outbid on another great copy, it went for way over 100GBP. Thought I'm never going to get one in a good price. And then this auction happened :)

There wasn't a 90s US pressing. There was one in 2000. Any copy from the 90s was most likely a European press. And even then there there were 2 different pressings. One was the original 1991 pressing, and then it was remastered in 1994. You know which is which because it says remastered under the barcode.

I believe the 2000 US pressing has a new barcode.

Its funny because this exact same discussion happened at Vinyl Collective last week and it was determined that that particular discogs entry is in error.

Having bought Pumpkins vinyl in the 90's I know there was no US pressing.

I think mine is the HUT (UK?) original pressing.
    you got me thinking now....
I need to go pull it out and check.
I bought this in like 93 or so.
I think Caroline only released the CD version.
Then Virgin came along and re-released it on CD with a digital remaster after Siamese was so successful.
Like I said.... my memory is really hazy.. sometimes it seems like yesterday sometimes it seems like a lifetime ago.

  • Outside of 1-2 songs, I think Forth is pretty great. Especially with the bonus tracks and the b-sides and the leaked tracks.
