I would love that... but it would be almost impossible to get tix and I'm also worried the show would not fit into my itinerary (flight to austin Wednesday the 8th and back home monday the 13th)Get_Right said:
They are usually pretty good too. Hoping spoon or PJ plays stubbs BBQ-I dont know why there hasn't been more requests on the board for them to play stubbs.SVRDhand13 said:

@ the Scott- don't fret about tickets to weekend one. Buy that one above for $225 but I usually can find 3 day passes for around $100-$150 that Friday afternoon down on Barton Springs Rd where the festival is. Tons of people have travel issues, etc. and they need to sell so you can find them super cheap. There's even tables set up under tents where they sell them for $200 for the whole weekend. They're everywhere.
@ Stubbs idea- no way in hell would PJ play Stubbs. Maybe under a fake name or for family only, but that place is way too small for them, it would create hysteria. Spoon would be amazing there, though.I'm like an opening band for your mom.0 -

I'll be selling a three-day pass for the first weekend... I paid about $240 for it with all fees, etc., but I was hoping to sell for $225 (face value)... Still haven't gotten the actual wristband in the mail, though...Sarcassy said:So I'll be in Austin from the 2nd to 14th October, got a ticket for the second Sunday sorted. Looking at day passes for the first weekend of ACL but the Saturday is sold out. I was hoping to do the full three days of the first weekend, bit of cultural immersion for this Scots lass. Anyone on the forum selling a first weekend pass or a day pass for Saturday the 4th October?

Any hotel suggestions? Have reservations for Sunday but looking at adding Saturday to the itinerary, though proving difficult with the Texas/OU game that weekend.0

Very true. Ive only paid face value once; always more supply than demand. But it helps that I'm local and can wait out the market, where in Sarcassy's case she has a long ways to go. Just dont pay more than face for a 3-day pass. Be patient, shop a consolidation site like seatgeek.com, and buy from a company that guarantees the ticket's legitimacy (Stubhub, TicketCity, etc.) and you'll be golden if you feel like coming down. Austin is pretty doggone nice in October.RoleModelsinBlood31 said:@ the Scott- don't fret about tickets to weekend one. Maybe they're wearing their home unii's that weekend but yeah, its in Dallas. Lots of fun to watch it in the beer tent at ACL thoughMB93672 said:
That's what I told the lady on the phone when I called the hotel and she said she was sure it was a home game. Idiot. Thanks.ComeToTX said:Texas ou is in Dallas.
UT does have a home game the 1st weekend...vs Baylor. UT home games fill tons of hotel rooms in town with alumni but most of the Baylor contingent should head back to Waco after the game. Still, book a place ASAP if you're coming down. It'll be busy.

I have a room booked for Sunday 10/12, but the hotel check in doesn't start until late in the afternoon so I am debating on adding Saturday for convenience. Are you a jayhawk fan...?texjayhawk said:

I'm heading to both Sunday shows. Think PJ will play over their 2 hour time limit? I know in previous shows they have forgone the time limit..."A man has the right to be as big as he feels it in him to be." Ken Kesey0

Let's hope! Kinda doubtful though because ACL headliners usually all end around the same time- at least in past years.moses562 said:I'm heading to both Sunday shows. Think PJ will play over their 2 hour time limit? I know in previous shows they have forgone the time limit...

The only headliner that I can remember going over was petty and that involved a long rain delay. This show, another show, a show here and a show there.0

In 2009 PJ played 2 and a half hours so I see no reason they won't again.9/16/95; 10/14/00; 10/15/00; 10/17/00; 4/5/03; 4/6/03; 10/04/09; 11/12/12 (Ed); 11/16/13; 10/12/140

Really? I wouldn't think a 24 song set would take up that much time.darth said:In 2009 PJ played 2 and a half hours so I see no reason they won't again.
