Just saw that someone by the name Neonhandshake has a blue listed with the real deal copies. Calls it limited edition blue vinyl. Not to mention he want $458 for it. I don't know how to report it. Someone smarter than me needs too.Post edited by Karojo820673 on0

This guy is the worst. Did you see his Benny for $2000? All his stuff is ridiculously marked up, but to try and sell bootlegged copies as legit is 8-}Karojo820673 said:Just saw that someone by the name Neonhandshake has a blue listed with the real deal copies. I feel for anyone fooled out of their money because of this guy!Like A Fist To The Jaw0 -
A used copy and it's @ $77 bucks? lolwillbarclay said:
There are new sealed copies cheaper then that price. And they keep popping up on eBay and other sources on a daily bases ...

With shipping it's more like $1040

I sent a question to the seller of the used one asking about the sound between the original and the boot, as he has both. I'm so curious if they have the same mastering.10/31/93 Berkeley (Baba!) • 10/1/94 Bridge School • 9/16/96 Seattle (In My Tree!) • 10/19/96 & 10/20/96 B. I have both as well. My sister picked up the boots for me on vacation and I have to say they are pretty well done and sound good/ look good. Definitely some differences but pretty close. My copies of ST are still sealed so can't do a comparison of sound. I've heard and seen a real ST at a friends house and when I play the boot I'm not disappointed. Maybe someone doing an A/B would feel different. One of my original Yield copies is open and the white boot again doesn't disappoint me. That being said these were a gift bought in Europe and total were only about $55. The prices that people are paying are what is out of hand and making them go up but if you can't afford what originals cost these days they are an alternative. If you don't have the moral hang up. I just think it's awful how some people are trying to sell these as something they aren't. If people want to charge a crazy price for it that is their right but false advertising to take advantage of people is just wrong. At least the ebay guy says what it is and put it at auction so people can decide for themselves.Post edited by Karojo820673 on0

Thank you. Is there anything specific you can reference?Karojo820673 said:Definitely some differences but pretty close.

ST cover is slightly darker, not as sharp. Again mine aren't open so I can't compare the booklet. Others have mentioned that the cover glossier. I believe someone posted pics of ST earlier in this thread. White Yield the sign isn't cut out of the cover, not as sharp and the cover isn't as heavy. I would imagine the same for ST. They are very closePost edited by Karojo820673 on0

I think aurynsdad would like to know about the sound quality... As far as I'm concerned, I would say, it sounds pretty darn awesome. The highs are clear and nice (like in the piano part of Inside Job), the bass is awesome and not mushy, and overall, it makes a very good impression. But then again, I don't have the comparison to the original, because I don't have it on vinyl. If I would have it, I wouldn't have bought the bootleg. Please, Pearl Jam, consider a Benaroya Hall vinyl reissue! http://community.pearljam.com/discussion/148993/please-pearl-jam-consider-a-vinyl-benaroya-hall-re-issue0

That was kinda my point from the 2 books I wrote about them. That there really wasn't a difference other than the cover art. The white Yield sounds like the original on my turn table0

I'm mainly curious to know how they were made. I really think they were done by silicone mold, which is kind of fascinating to me for some reason.10/31/93 Berkeley (Baba!) • 10/1/94 Bridge School • 9/16/96 Seattle (In My Tree!) • 10/19/96 & 10/20/96 B. I have know idea. Maybe give me some clues to look for. ST titled is blue with black or really dark blue marbling and the edges could be a little cleaner. Other than that I don't know how to tell if it's made of something else or produced from silicone molds. I'm listening to it right now and sounds great. Feels like a record in your hands.aurynsdad said:I'm mainly curious to know how they were made. I really think they were done by silicone mold, which is kind of fascinating to me for some reason.

If I had one of these boots, I'd slice a small sliver off the dead wax edge and place it in a jar of biodiesel (my day job is running a biodiesel company). Urethane won't dissolve in biodiesel, but vinyl will. I've heard that urethane will actually last longer than vinyl, so these copies could actually be really great provided there is not a deterioration of sound. I've also wondered how many copies could be made from a single silicone mold- sounds like there are a ton of these boots out there.10/31/93 Berkeley (Baba!) • 10/1/94 Bridge School • 9/16/96 Seattle (In My Tree!) • 10/19/96 & 10/20/96 B. Well...I had to have both the Blue, S/T and the White Yield....So i ended up paying $125 shipped from Belgium for both.0

Definitely not what the cost in Europe but not bad compared to the originals. I'm pretty happy with mine.MedozK said:Well...I had to have both the Blue, S/T and the White Yield....So i ended up paying $125 shipped from Belgium for both.

I can deal with $62.50 each for them. I will now compare them to the real things....the one thing I noticed immediately was the Yield boot cover is not die-cut...the yield sign is printed on the cover..Karojo820673 said:

Yeah definitely some differences. You will notice a few with ST. I'm pretty satisfied with the sound too. Mine were a gift but I would probably have bought them.MedozK said:

Two! Two sealed PJ bootleg vinyls just arrived! Ah! Ah! Ah!
..
These arrived sealed & in protected clear sleeves. Weird thing is I've heard many folks in Europe finding these @ Record Fairs that weren't sealed at all. That they never came sealed in the first place. I've seen a few sealed copies sold on various sites where the sellers are from Spain. Probably the original source where these bootlegs have been pressed out of?
So white Yield & blue Avocado. Were there any other colored releases?0 -
The seller might just have a shrink wrap machine. Impossible to know for sure.demetrios said:Two! Two sealed PJ bootleg vinyls just arrived! Ah! Ah! Ah!

I don't suppose you can manage a close up of that yield sign?
