At Worcester #1, I saw someone wearing a Creed t-shirt! Haha! How could you wear that, especially to a PJ show.

I think it was a hipster being "ironic."

    Everyone being ironic arent Hipsters.

I guess it was just a Pearl Jam fan being ironic.

And i avoid wearing PJ shirts to shows. But I do appreciate seeing some old bald guy wearing a 1992/1993 shirt.

Yeah fuck that. I saw about 954 different unique Pearl Jam shirt designs in Chicago over Wrigley weekend. No one believes this rule.

My '96 No Code shirt is so flimsy these days the only time it gets worn is at gigs.

My goto PJ concert shirt too.

  • At the first LA show of this last tour my friend went to go get us some beers from the rail before the show started. We asked everyone if it was cool that he squeeze back in. They saw his original No Code tour shirt and that gave him the pass. He ended up going a few more times and we even bought beers for those around us. I really like that all the PJ fans were the t shirt of the band. I love seeing the shirts from over the years and the ones that people create themselves.

Anyone who listens to... and follows... rules created by a character in a movie (who is written into the screenplay as a douchebag), should not be listened to.

I generally go by that rule unless I'm going to see my favorite band.

This was funny at the time. Mock it now (I don't agree with it either) but at least admit when this came out you thought the movie was funny. I saw it for the first time in 10 years the other day and it really disappointed me. I remembered it being much funnier. I guess it was part of yester year.

  • I think the rule should be changed to "Never, under any circumstances, go to a pre-concert bar that plays only songs of the band you are going to see"

Shirt cool. Listening to the band for hours before the concert not cool.

    Thoughts?

Sounds like I may be the only one but I 100% agree with it. Yell at me if you want to, but you simply don't wear the t shirt of the band your going to see. It's simple. You don't want to be that guy. I've been to hundreds of phish and dead shows and only 7 pj shows but those who wear the shirts of the band are notoriously mocked and the laughing stock of the fans I know.

To each his own though. Gotta say I was guilty of it once, but once feeling like an asshole was enough. I do like the guy who's like 60 wearing the band shirt, though. It's kinda sad actually, but hilarious!

Amendment: even worse is the dude who buys the shirt AT the concert and puts it on and is looking around all proud of himself! Hahahahah! L-)

Well, for those over 30 who can't get away with wearing Pearl Jam shirts on a daily basis, the PJ concert provides an opportunity to leave the collared shirt at home and break out the PJ.

I don't think I've ever worn the shirt of the band I was seeing at the show.

I can thank PCU for that.

I don't think it's a big deal if you do... I just never wanted to let Droz down...

Never wanted to be "that guy"
