Yea, PJ won't be the TCF band in July. Nice to dream, but it won't happen.

Hey PJ and Kelly Curtis, did you see the line in the article that said, "The band hasn't played MN since 2006 and we are long overdue for a show."

Well, that's that. Silver is still pretty solid.

One of my high school friends won a bronze at the last olympics for women's rowing. I got to hold the medal a few years ago. Super cool.

I think I'm the only person here who isn't into alcohol. I don't have a drinking issue or anything, it's just not my gig. Flame away!

  • I don't know if I'm into alcohol. I don't know what that means, really. But I do like beer a lot. And over the last ten years, I've figured out what I like and what I don't. Kind of like music or anything thing else is diverse.

I have yet to have a beer that I really like. I'll drink it, but it's just meh, and that's the type of booze I like most out of the whole crew (mixed, hard, wine, fruity stuff, etc).

Ed would probably punch me in the face. Hahaha.

So, so true my friend. Planning small vacations and traveling to other cities/states to see PJ is the icing on the cake. Would love to see Minneapolis get a show this year along with a handful of other Midwest dates!

I still listen to music from my high school days, but most of it is older music (Beatles, zeppelin, the who, hendrix, dylan, etc.). Timeless stuff!

I did hear that song "My Own Worst Enemy" by Lit (remember them?) the other day and it took me back to junior year of high school working at the movie theatre.

  • I'm going to have to throw the red flag on this one, evenflow82.

You didn't listen to anything of the day when you were in high school.

I listened to classics too, sure. But, I also listened to stuff that was current. And I think most high schoolers do and did. We weren't that smart, yet.

Music of my high school days that brings me back..... Destiniy's Child!, Alanis Morisette, Fiona Apple, No Doubt, The Cardigans, The Cranberries, Hanson, N'Sync, Back Street Boys (preferred N'Sync way more), Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Blur, Oasis, Vitamins C,, Venga Boys, LFO... the list goes on. I should make a mix and get ready for the summer! haha \m/

Here's my history of musical tastes from that era:

1991-1995: whatever my older brother was listening to, which at the time was basically Pearl Jam, Everclear, and Live
1995-2000: Rage Against The Machine (for a while, almost exclusively), hardcore/metalcore (Earth Crisis, Throwdown, Strife, Downset), local and/or indie hip-hop ("underground" was the term then) (Atmosphere, Eyedea, Sage Francis, Mos Def); sprinkled in was some Limp Bizkit (I saw them at First Ave on their 3 Dollar Bills, Y'all tour - so edgy!), System of a Down, Korn, Soulfly and Deftones

I'm comfortable with that track record. As embarassing as Limp Bizkit and Korn were by themselves (remember those pants? And those stupid Yankees hats? OzzFest? The Family Values tour??? :)) ), that was about as far down the cringe-worthy rock or "nu-metal" pipe I ever got.
