    Just got back from the Roky Erickson and Black Angels double bill at First Avenue. Great show! Roky is old but it's great to see him still performing after all the crap he has gone through (watch the documentary 'You're Gonna Miss Me' for more info). The highlight was seeing him perform "Slip Inside this House". The Angels were great and tight as always. 'Young Men Dead' was dedicated to Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and the Big Bopper who died in their plane crash 55 years ago. They ended the night with Bad Vibrations.

    So great that the Black Angels keep giving MN some love. They've played here twice in the last year. PJ, we are BEGGING you to play here in 2014. Make it happen. :-)

    happy to have been at that show last night. i've been lucky to see roky twice now, and i hope i'll get another chance sooner than later.

    this was my 8th black angels show. thought the mix of songs was pretty good and i loved their setup this tour.

    let's hope we see pearl jam in minnesota before the black angels make another stop through town.

    I have no idea who these bands are. Not a clue.

    Dusick tried to talk me into going to a show once.

    Diddy and I just got tickets to see Eddie Izzard. Pretty excited.

    If you like the doors, velvet underground (earlier albums), garage rock or psychedelic rock you would like the black angels. They are one of the few bands who still use guitars. :-P It would be awesome to see them open for PJ in a MN show.

    If I'm wrong, which I hope I'm not, secondary prediction: Yield/No Code re-issue release? A couple years early for the 20th anniversary though.
