I don't think this will reach crazy price levels, because it's so made to be a collector's item and doesn't really serve a purpose other than that. Which differs from Benny which people wan't to own because they want to listen to Benny on vinyl.
But what do I know...
Do you really think there is no purpose in having the whole album as singles? You don't think just being able to easily play one song at a time is a nice thing to be able to do?
It's not really that difficult to play one song from an LP though is it?
I don't play or collect 7" singles (having to change a record every 3 or 4 songs is bad enough, to do it every song no thanks!!) so it's an easy pass for me. Couldn't justify a total of $74 for a "cool booklet". That may or not be cool
But for people such as yourself who are buying this to play then that's cool. I love vinyl, I like collecting but for me there is no point in this release.
I personally don't like dropping a needle onto the middle of a record because 1) I never drop it in the exact right place, and 2) I worry about being clumsy and dropping it too hard. I just never do it. Anyway, I don't expect everyone to see this as an item they really want or could use. I'm just saying that this is actually a useful item for a lot of people, and not simply a an item for the sake of collecting. But I see EVERY PJ item as something that is simply a collectors item to some people, but something others will actually use....... besides those gun-toting sheep.

I'm not really a collector or even a vinyl junkie. I never even bought the 12" LB LP but for some reason this just looked really cool and I wanted it. Fingers crossed for it being colored but you would think they would advertise that in order to sell more copies.
I hope my order actually goes through. I did get the order confirmation e-mail, but I'm nervous that it was so close to when it sold out that I'll get screwed. It is kind of crazy to me that something could be so limited that some people won't be able to get it. I was out eating lunch at a restaurant when the newsletter e-mail came through, and I was like pushing my wife out so we could get home and order this thing. For a band that claims to want the best for their fans, they sure do create a dog-eat-dog enviroment where things like the Benny Hall records are $1,000 and up. In some ways I think it is kind of exciting to feel the urgency to grab this, but if I was not able to get online and buy this and now it is sold out, I would be super pissed. Just saying.
