10c tickets are a joke

I'm 184,xxx and ended up in the sec2, row A (first row behind GA) for Hartford. We had a great time, but...
I get that people love/want GA. What I don't understand is how 10C can possibly think putting people behind GA are putting them into "some of the best seats in the house." This thought process is completely baffling to me and IMO is entirely not the case. I'll go out on a limb here and suggest that 99% of people who opted for reserved (over GA) wanted seats on on the sides, NOT behind the pit. Come on....
Here's a reasonable solution. Still offer a GA pit to club members but make all reserved tickets In the wings. Seems like a reasonable and very doable thing. Sell the seats behind the pit to the general public.0 -
The size of the GA pits varies from venue to venue (its seems like they have 2 models).
Do you think they are putting people with low 10C #'s (less than 200,000) in the first few rows behind the GA in the smaller GA setup?
For the Buffalo show, the GA section went almost as far back at the sound board. For the Brooklyn shows, it only went about half as far back.
I agree completely, putting people behind the GA section is a joke.Toronto 10-05-00 / Toronto 06-28-03 / Montreal 06-29-03 / Toronto 05-09-06 / Toronto 05-10-06 / London 08-18-09 / Cleveland 05-09-10 / Buffalo 05-10-10 / East Troy 09-03/11 / East Troy 09-04-11 / Montreal 09-07-11 / Toronto 09-11-11 / Toronto 10-11-11 / Ottawa 09-14-11 / Hamilton 09-15-11 / Winnipeg 09-17-11 / Saskatoon 09-19-11 / Calgary 09-21-11 / Edmonton 09-23-11 / Vancouver 09-25-11 / London 07-16-13 / Chicago 07-19-13 / Buffalo 10-12-2013 / Dallas 11-15-13 / Oklahoma City 11-16-13 / Milan 06-20-2014 / Trieste 06-22-14 / Vienna 06-25-14 / Berlin 06-26-14 / Stockholm 06-28-14 / Oslo 06-27-14 / Leeds 07-08-14 / Milton Keynes 07-11-14 / Seattle 08-08-18 / Seattle 08-10-18 / Missoula 08-13-18 / Oakland 05-12-22 / Oakland 05-13-22 / St. Paul 08-31-23 / St. Paul 09-02-23 / Vancouver 05-04-24 / Portland 05-10-24

My number is 208xxx and I was 4th row floor behind GA in Philly. Was not happy but they turned out to be ok. Still I was hoping for side stage.Don't come closer or I'll have to go0

this is crazy...there has to be something wrong with the system.
maybe just because I am short, but I would rather be on the wings across from the seated floor area vs. being on the floor behind GA.
I had expected my seats to be on the floor behind GA in Hartford due to the popularity of the show and the fact that there are many long time members in this area. My number is 401xxx and I ended up in Sec. 117 Row J. The last section before the seats take a corner and go towards the back end of the arena across from the stage, but being in the wings you are elevated from the crowd and have a great view. Also being that far back, the sound is awesome.
And just one more zinger... Worcester 1 I got TM seats - 2nd row behind GA... I pulled those at 3pm on the day of the show. I later read that there were 10c members behind me.

Wow, it is a bit disappointing to hear that good 10C numbers are getting the floor seats behind GA. These will not be great seats for short people like me. Fingers crossed for the wings.
But at least I will be in the building."Your light's reflected now, reflected from afar. We were but stones, your light made us stars."0 -
Like I said, my floor sears were good, dead center but did feel it the next day having to stand on yippie toes all night long. If I knew I was going to be on the floor I would have opted for GA.Don't come closer or I'll have to go0

I think if you have reserved for any of upcoming shows you should count/plan on being behind the pit, that way if/when it does happen you're not disappointed. That's what I did, after reading a couple posts where fanclub numbers similar to mine ended up with 10C seats behind the pit. And if you do end up in the wings, count your blessings and be very happy.
I do think we need to let 10C hear our voices on this. Future tours, GA would be pit only, reserved would be wings only.0 -

That's the spirit! I am #213,xxx and was in section 3, 5th row, behind GA, in Hartford. I am 5'3" so I'll admit I was disappointed when I picked up my tickets and saw that I wasn't in the wings. I was even still slightly bummed...until the show started! I found that I could see and the energy and sound around me was incredible! Being on the floor and seeing the whole arena rocking and cheering and singing was an amazing experience that I won't ever forget. Come on, dude. That's just crazy talk. GA has been fucking awesome. When you get it next time around, you'll be eating your words. Plus, I think it's really energized the shows and that makes it better for all of us, no matter where you're sitting.
Dude, shows have never lacked energy...and I chose reserved so I don't have to stand in line all day and run over some one to get to the rail. Don't worry, I'm out numbered, so i'm pretty sure they will keep it.
I agree with you0 -
Don't get me wrong. We had an amazing time at Hartford behind the pit. We were there, the crowd around us was awesome, the band was amazing, etc.
My point is that I think people need to reset any expectations of having "some of the best seats in the house" because I personally do not feel that behing behind the pit is even close to that.0 -

thats the thing.
without GA it was easy to gauge where my seats would be based on location, # of total shows, venue, etc..
but now, it is an "lottery" within a lottery. If Im in the wings its great. Back behind GA, I would much prefer any seated area including side/back stage. I am 5'5" and the wife is 5'0". Staring at someone's back for 3 hours sucks.0 -
hmm- I'm assuming you hadn't sat in your seats prior to posting this. I have 189xxx and was on the floor in Hartford 3 rows behind GA. Best seats of the tour for me. Had great side seats in Worcester but Floor was sick. more part of the show, the energy was awesome and site lines were perfect.westbrook36 wrote:I got tickets for tonight in Charlottesville on the floor? And now ticketmaster is releasing floor tickets that are better than 10c tickets.
I have a ok # 158xxx. But shouldn't be surprised my fan club tickets have gradually gotten worse

Not only that but revert back to 1 set of 10C tickets per tour like the 2000 tour. That effectively gve people a home-advantage and everybody got a very-good to great seat. Then, for all other shows, T/M. Your luck with T/M may exceed your luck with the current petition/lottery for 10c shows.
You nailed it. One show for 10c, the rest you takes your chances.

I guess one improvement would be:
Offer pool for GA
Offer pool for reserved seats
Offer pool for back of floor
maybe even add, you can only score GA and reserved seats for 1 show. Back of floor are open for multiples0 -

Why hasn't it happened in 13 years? One thing I applaud 10c for is trying new ideas to be more accommodating. People wanted multiple shows. Maybe the volume wasn't anticipated. In 2003, 10c allowed multiple shows and the huge volume pushed people to the rear floor. Then, the complaint was that 10c seats were worse than T/M because at least in the wings, you could see. So in 2005/2006, 10c went up the sides, not rear floor. Now they are trying GA and it seems like we're back to rear floor. Then I reflected upon LA 2009. 4 shows and for 10c tickets, you could only pick 1 show. That was sort of like 2000 within LA. Wow, the seats were great compared with other shows that tour. I like all the efforts to try things and sometimes things come full circle. Someone will complain about anything. I remember when shows weren't announced all at once and people complained about their inability to make travel plans. Seriously? I just think 1 show per tour and T/M for the rest may be worth looking at again. Again, I thank 10c for trying to be accommodating and trying things.Up here so high I start to shake, Up here so high the sky I scrape, I've no fear but for falling down, So look out below I am falling now, Falling down,...not staying down, Could’ve held me up, rather tear me down, Drown in the river0

Yeah i feel bad complaining but in philly i was a little disappointed with the seats. Reason i went for reserved is because i thought i would get wing tickets and my wife is short so wanted her to see. Of course i get the tickets and im sect 1 row 7 (mikes side behind GA on the floor) so i was a bit pissed cause i would have just gone for GA if i was gonna be on the floor. My # is 205xxx on the second night i had to go through TM and help of other fans and finally got a ticket which was Row 1 of the lower bowl about 4 rows behind where i sat on the stage. I could see much better and overall a better seat (didnt have anyone pee on me and had a drink holder so drunk a holes didnt knock over my drinks).
All other shows i have been on the wing and have been great seats.Bob0 -
I scored GA for BK 2 and Woo 2, but I got reserved for Philly 2. My Philly two tickets were like 10 rows back from GA on the floor. My number is 403xxx. How this is possible....idk?Ryan Crooks insists upon himself0

Exactly my situation. I am average height, wife is short. Based on what I'm seeing in other posts it appears we'll be on the floor behing GA. I looked at T/M's LA Sports Arena map and the GA is large. If we are behind GA, we'll be really far back. I noticed a small sliver of seats along the sides of the floor. Can only hope those are sloped as small risers. Hope to get these or anything off of the floor. I want my wife to enjoy it. I would rather be in the rafters opposite the stage in the nosebleeds than on the rear floor. Especially for my wife.Up here so high I start to shake, Up here so high the sky I scrape, I've no fear but for falling down, So look out below I am falling now, Falling down,...not staying down, Could’ve held me up, rather tear me down, Drown in the river0
