How did it feel without an opening band? Did it affect the band? Did they play longer?"Mostly I think that people react sensitively because they know you’ve got a point"0

They started at 8:20pm and wrapped up at 11:00 on the nose. (Pittsburgh has some law/rule that entertainment events can't go past 11pm??!) The two encore breaks were very short, so it was a solid 2 1/2 hours of PJ..."and I listen to the voice inside my head..."

Amazing show! fyi the setlist on the tour menu of this site is wrong. Last encore started with Black and ended with Yellow L.0

I don't recall future days being played but remember every other song. So amazing! If last night was any indication this your will not disappoint. Seeing Mike start the show with a violin type bow in his hands for pendulum was phenomenal. Infallible and records play will evolve into great live songs/jams for sure. I'm also loving stones pencil thin mustache/goatee combo.
After surviving Wrigley GA everything preshow felt fine to us. A few lyric missteps in footsteps and whipping weren't surprising and fun. It really felt like the 20th show instead of first. Even the new songs were really tight and have lotsa room to evolve. Thanks to everybody around us on Stone side rail for policing the assholes and staying involved the entire time. Sorry about my phone but I promises my kids I would FaceTime during betterman. I kept it low but it's still a pet peeve of mine. Congrats to the first four guys in who got tambourines and the young lady who also got one. Safe travels and continue to take care of eachother.

I just want to say how proud I am of everyone doing there part for Do The Evolution. I've made several posts admiring how well the Euro fans and SA fans do this and was nervous for us to do our part IF DTE came on. Well they played it and we nailed it and by the end of the first leg maybe we can drag it out even longer! Go fans.
Grili sucks...yes, I'm a Tigers fan.0 -

I'm actually glad to hear that there was some pushing and shoving in GA, looked pretty much idle in the LTRP vid. Dance people! Get sweaty! Amazing show!!! Pendulum as the opener was perfect. Mike was on another level. The band seemed to be having a great time with each other all night. the 2nd encore seemed to go on and on and on. every time a song ended I thought it was the end, and then another one just kept playing.
Highlights: pendulum, infallible, footsteps, rearviewmirror, unthought known, black (we belong together tag), sirens, speed of sound, and catching a pick from Mike.
the energy at the front of the floor was awesome. and yes there was some bumping and pushing, nothing malicious, just people having fun; and, it is general admission main floor so if you didn't want to be bumped into you could always move to the back.
the only thing that brought it down a bit was all the pylons on the main floor. if you are going to stand there all night with your arms folded not moving, how about you just get seats, preferably behind the stage, or even just stay home and watch a live dvd. also, no opening band is fine, but if you say 7:30 and don't go on until 8:20, then why not just have the opening band. let me say i don't care what time they go on, just don't say 7:30
the baseball player guy coming out was fine. he was super stoked to be on the stage, and i think he was just really excited.
by far the best show i've been to since 2006 in grand rapids."...what a different life had i not found this love with you..."0 -
Very good show. Pendellum was a cool opener with mike using a bow. I was super stoked they played of the girl as I had not seen it yet and it was at the top of my wish list. The only other song they played not counting LB songs I had not heard before was speed of sound so that was cool as well. After 14 shows for me and 10 albums for the band it is truly at a point where you have no idea what they might play and so many choices may totally surprise or not be ones you ever even thought about leading up to the show. For me those were songs like Unemployable, speed of sound, footsteps, and untitled. This band never disappoints and this was just another show I am very happy I made the trip for.words seem so out of place.

We all called it; Pendulum makes a great opener. This show blew Wrigley out of the water. As my only 2 shows so far (Buffalo tonight), I was blown away at the sound, the energy, the crowd, everything was awesome. 7 songs from LB, and all sounded great live. Although, I must say that Infallible is a better album song right now.
I had 10c reserved seats and ended up with Floor 3 row L, near center aisle, but slightly on Mike's side. My ears were ringing all night. Giovanni's pizza afterwards was crucial! Is that east coast style pizza? Because we sure don't have anything like that in Michigan.
Being a Detroit Tiger's and Red Wings fan, the Grilli thing and seeing Cindy Crosbey everywhere, I was rolling my eyes. But Grilli was having fun, and if I was a Pirates fan I would have liked that.
All-in-all, fucking love this band, and I can't wait to do it all again tonight. Now for some Primanti Bros before hitting the road!7/19/13 - Wrigley Field, Chicago, IL

BEST FUCKING NIGHT EVER!!! Got in line for GA at 11 or so, got rail on Stones side! I lost it when they played of the girl, all the new songs sounded so fucking awesome.
During RITFW I zipped up my spiderman hoodie over my head like a mask and Ed came over and handed me and another girl a tambourine, I couldn't believe it!
They played 4 of my top 10 songs in one show, almost unheard of. Of the Girl, Let the Records Play, FOOTSTEPS! And Ledbetter.
Nothing about this show possibly could have went better the set list was pretty much made for me, I got front row, GOT A TAMBOURINE and rocked out with Boom like 5 times. Perfect night, perfect show.
THANK YOU PEARL JAM!!!0 -

I thought he would have joined in for the chorus, don't need much talent to say Whipping over and over. But he just jumped around and played air guitar. He was a lot bigger than I thought he was; he towered over Ed7/19/13 - Wrigley Field, Chicago, IL
