This was my third time traveling to Pittsburgh (from Akron area) to a PJ show and for reasons unknow the traffic was very bad when we arrived at 4:00 p.m. nothing like what I remembered from the other two times.
As for the overall sound imo Jeff's bass was a bit too loud and Stone's guitar was hard to hear during some of the set. All in all though it was a awesome show. The band played as tight as I've ever heard them and Ed sounded great. I must admit though that I was hearing some of the new stuff for the first time that night so the opener was a bit of a let dowm. I was hoping for Release. Oh well maybe next time. I thought that the lightning bolt lights behind the drum kit during l.b. where a nice touch along with the video screens and mutiple balls of light that dropped down to the stage periodically. Definately the most theatrical of any PJ show to date.
We (wife and I) had 10c tickets sec.122. Thank You Ten CLub! We met a nice couple that brought their two young sons to their 1st shows (hello) and we were surrounded by other cool fans. Except for the two dudes in the row in front of us who just stood there the whole show. Just kidding those guys were every bit as cool as the dudes behind us who smoked a bunch of doobies and damn near made our ears bleed singing along and screaming their approvals and suggestions. To each his/her own.
My only regret is that I don't have tickets to more shows this tour. See you next time.

My very first time seeing them live. (It was my 50th birthday present from my loving husband) I've been a fan from the beginning and finally seeing them live was as epic as I had dreamed. 6 people from the stage! Although this was my first PJ experience, it isn't my first concert, and I can honestly say that the the fans, especially the Ten Club fans, are the most gracious people I have met in line for a concert! Everyone was just so nice! As for the band...well, they sounded incredible, I couldn't believe it was actually happening, the set list was great and I can hardly wait to do it again! And we loved Pittsburgh! Thank you Ten Club for making my dream come true!
Absolutely amazing show for me! I was on the rail at some points (thanks to awesome 10 clubbers) and other times I was one or two back. Never out of sight of the entire band and I was incredibly close to mike! The setlist was incredible to me and there wasn't really any song that I was turned off by. The whole Jason Grilli thing was a bit weird for me but I'm from northwest indiana so that doesnt help. Hell i enjoyed him more than Ernie banks! (I'm a sox fan ) This show was also wayyyyyy better than wrigley for me but probably because of how close I was.
Highlights for me:
Black with tag, been dying to hear that tag so bad i had to fight tears in the pit.
Pendulum was pretty amazing especially being that close to mike and his bow string
RVM is my favorite dance along and boy did I dance (Even my dad did haha)
Getting the hang loose sign from Ed at the end, yes that was for me
The hello and 3 picks I received for mike
and finally turning my dad from a very medicore fan to slightly on my level of PJ crazyyyy
Overall unless I'm on the rail for an entire show and meet EV after or something, nothing could ever top this show. In fact im dying to see them again. I swear I'm not a religious person at all, but for some reason PJ always lifts my spirits.
Best band in the FUCKING WORLD!

Considering the setlist, the crowd, the sound quality, and the overall performance I'd have to say this was the best show of the three I saw. I had 10C seats, Sec 101 near Stone's side of the stage, right on the aisle. Took a friend of mine for her first PJ show and she loved it! (She got married in June and played Just Breathe for her first dance.) I got a kick out of her cuz when we got back to the car after the show, she was trying to describe it and the things she was saying made no sense whatsoever!
I had held off listening to the iTunes stream of LB because I wanted to be surprised with some new songs at the show. (MYM was the only one I'd heard up to that point.) I highly enjoyed hearing the new material for the first time live. And when I came home that night, the CD was in my mailbox! Haven't stopped playing it since!
Excellent show and phenomenal experience as always with this band!
For those that don't know, Jason Grilli is the closer for the Pirates and his entrance music out of the bullpen is Whipping. Being a resident of the burg, this was just an awesome piece of the show that some of the out of towners probably didn't realize. He is a huge PJ fan (clearly if he comes out to Whipping) and he had just met EV a few weeks earlier.
Great show, but took a little longer than usual to get going. Was waiting for Corduroy or SOLT to pick it up early. Thought the "did we belong" tag to Black was an evolution of the "we belong" tag, which is cool because they did that the last time they played in Pittsburgh.
Should have warned about the traffic. Downtown is a mess on Fridays from like 3-6 because of the work week ending.

so I use this post to add my comment. Yesterday I have downloaded my first US concert bootleg 2013, PITTSBURGH, and I listened to it in full length..
..and it got me again, the vibes, the enthusiasm and the rock feeling all around and within... uhhh I like the new songs in the setlist, also how they are played... wow.
So it sounds like a great great night for all who were there and the comments here prove it...
what a great show...
... and what a good thing they were and still are on tour again... especially as 2013 was not the easiest year so far, at least not for me - alot of changes again...
so, to know and hear that Pearl Jam is still built to last, and
to read (here) and feel all the excitement about the tour and
now to listen to the results of these gigs, help alot to gain the positive spirit again.
and:
this spirit is carried on to 2014, a year they will play Europe again ...
so yup, finally there is the highlight which will make the next year a good one for sure ...
... so another thanks must be spoken out to Pearl Jam for the bootlegs and for indeed being the greatest band ever! Rock on

Awesome show! It was my first time seeing them and it won't be the last! Loved to see all the live debuts but Black was my favourite:
1. Black
2. Better Man
3. Footsteps!

Was reflecting on this show and listening to the boot last night....goddamn that Faithfull is ON POINT! That show was a hell of a tour opener and such a great time. I also highly enjoyed the city of Pittsburgh, had never been there before.

I didn't want to start a new thread but I remember someone on here a few weeks/months ago looking for an extra used 10c Pittsburgh ticket. I was cleaning and found our extra ticket. If the person who was looking for a 10c Pitt ticket still needs one, I've got one for you. I tried searching for your post/thread but I had no luck with this search tool.
