To any "fan" who hasn't heard LB yet, I would honestly have to question your love/passion for this band. Why the hell would you wait till you get a physical copy when a perfectly good stream is available for free right now? And for those who like to throw on some headphones and listen to it on vinyl, PJ hasn't recorded in analog since Riot Act so what's the point?!! If you die tomorrow, you will be seen as a jackass for not enjoying one last PJ album because of your stubbornness.
come on man, not everyone is exactly like you.
I'm a gianormous fan. I had a dream of Ed in leather once.
And I drove slow as fuck on I-95 yesterday, didnt risk shaving, and stayed the hell away from he lawnmover and circuit breaker box.
I havent listened to it. And there's something to be said about how big a fan you are if you want to position your speakers at a 32 degree angle twelve feet apart, unplug your phone, crack a beer and drop the needle as opposed to clicking on an itunes icon and fidgeting with the shitty little dial on my crap speakers that came with my crap monitor. :P

Go ahead and question away. I'm not in the "I'm a bigger fan than you" contest.
I'm waiting for the cd because that's the way I've listened to albums 1-9 for the first time. I love that feeling. To each his own. Let's not judge and criticize.

 Just ask anyone who knows me about PJ and then see if you still might question my love/passion for the band. Just because I don't wanna listen to a stream and want to listen to it the first time the same way I've listen to all of my most anticipated releases for the last 22 years doesn't make me a jackass/less a fan.
Even though I'm waiting to hear LB on vinyl, I feel like I'm just as passionate about this band as anyone on here! For me, it's made more special by the fact that this is the first new album released since I discovered PJ in 2010!

Ridiculous post. I'm pretty sure the physical copies are better than the stream on iTunes. I believe the stream is censored? Well the cd & vinyl won't be.
I'm also pretty sure that if I died tomorrow, the last thing on my friends and families minds would be "did he listen to the new Pearl Jam album?"
You can question my passion for Pearl Jam all you want, I have nothing to prove to anyone.

My friends and family would say yes. She died happy and what should we do with her vinyl collection? The Ten Club gives an official download the day it's released... I think I will take advantage of this.
Seeing as the vinyl or CD may not arrive by next Tuesday, the download version will have to hold me until the vinyl and CD arrive. I thought one of those two would hold me until Brooklyn 2, but after the shipping hell of the Vault vinyl, I can see it may take two weeks to arrive.

Doesnt this depend on the gear you have at home? I play itunes with imac and it sounds pretty good to me.
I will also buy the CD when it will be available here in Moscow, for the car.
This has been a fun thread, by the way.

Not been on forums much this week but has anyone received LB from TenClub yet?? Still waiting to hear album like others in this thread so hanging for it to fall through my letterbox...
I haven't. I refuse to listen until I have a CD in my hand. I've long conceded on vinyl by now, but I need SOMETHING physical in my hands before I listen.
Pearl Jam and Bruce Springsteen might be the only artists I'm still like that about. Whatever. You win, iTunes.
Genuinely surprised so many people have chosen to listen to their favourite band's new album through a streaming site. What happened to waiting for your 1st listen by going to your local store/preorder and getting the cd/vinyl?????
Nothing better than having the physical product in your hands for the first listen. Just my opinion!
When I was a kid, the rock stations did this all the time with new records, playing the entire album before it was released to the stores (I specifically remember hearing the entirety of "The River", "Screaming for Vengeance", and "1984" this way, among others). I see the iTunes stream simply being an extension of that practice.
Of course, back then, we'd record it onto tape as it was happening, so technically we were holding a physical product in our hands I guess. And yes: I'm old.
I"m old too! I'm waiting for my vinyl to arrive, before I listen. If the CD comes first, though, I'll listen to that. According to Amazon, the CD should arrive tomorrow. I'm hoping my 10c vinyl arrives today though!

I want to hold out on vinyl but may be pressured to open cd which still resides in Santos package. Just something about going old school. Just seems like the right thing to do.
I waited until today to listen to it.....and I must say that I fucking love it. Call me a mindless drone or what-have-you, but this band never disappoints. This is a good album.

Well, since the LB main theme is mortality; at least in that state, I would have more awareness of what's coming.

Yours.
I got the cd on Saturday, but didn't listen to it until my ride home from work today. Liking it so far.
