I am in Eugene, OR. My shipment started out over a week ago with an expected delivery day of October 7, leaving from Auburn, WA, travelled down the west coast, to Phoenix and is now travelled back up to Federal Way, WA. WTF?!

This is ridiculous. Time to get a better shipping solution.

Hilarious! I just posted the exact same thing on a different thread. And I'm also in Eugene. Small world!

P.S. I'm trying to get a PJ20 screening at the Bijou Metro. I'll keep you posted if you're interested.

    Awesome. That would be cool!

nothing innovative about UPS Mail Innovations

The innovation is clearly how to make delivery take the longest amount of time and make the most needless stops. Clearly no one is doing this....until now....innovation.

    touché ....

    No positive innovation :D

Yeah, it's not that big a deal.... But I think we're getting off track here actually. This thread is about PJ's shipping generally. Not about how soon we get LB in particular. 10C is using a shipping service that is apparently sending our shit all over the fucking country just to get it to the next state, or even a few miles away. Well, their shipping rates just went UP because they decided to use a new service that is supposed to be environmentally friendly.... Yet their packages are being taken around the United States, back and forth in ridiculous ways (I mean, RKCNDY lives six miles from the warehouse and her package is in Arizona or something!!), which necessarily uses up MORE fuel. I don't see how this new shipping service is good for the environment. It seems to me that it's WORSE for the environment. Yet we're paying more?? THAT'S what's fucked. Not the fact that we might not get our LB albums on October 15th.

I can't imagine how this could be considered to be efficient. How about the "carbon footprint" of a product traveling this far to get somewhere 20 mins away? I wonder if all this extra travel resulted in this occurring: http://community.pearljam.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=219114

 I'm glad mine was delivered safe and sound and I'm thankful for that. But really!?!?!?!? 9 days to ship a package 20 miles?

It arrived here in Portland today. It was crazy...I was talking to a friend about it on the phone. Two minutes later, Santos answered my pm (thanks, man!) and 3 minutes after that, my doorbell rang. Eerie..... :? :?

Top left corner is slightly bent & the box was jacked up in the same spot, but the lp's look great! Will be spinning this later today! Can't wait!

The USPS is holding my Vault hostage...

who else owes $$$ for 'postage due'?

Can't believe I'm gonna pay $17 to ship something 6 miles.

What the fuck?! :fp: I'm actually flabberghasted by how bad this new shipping program is going for 10C. I wonder if SLH is having discussions about this with USPS to try and get answers for how badly it's going. I hope he is on top of getting this crap worked out with them, because this is an outrageous situation.

I just don't understand what happened, confirmation email said it was being delivered to my new address, but they still tried to deliver to my old address, the tracking number said it was 'undeliverable-return to sender', even though I have a forwarding order on file with USPS, now I owe them more money? :x

Can't do anything until I go pick it up tomorrow and ask them what happened.
