Charlottesville 10/29 Roll Call

I do live in c'ville, but I'm not a fan of the place. PJ coming to town makes it one time in thirteen years I've thought "I am excited to live here!" Beer selections near the venue would be Brixx, downtown mall would be Millers or Citizen Burger (overpriced food but a good beer selection)...interesting drives would be Skyline Drive, or even 29 or 64 are good as you can see the mountains almost everywhere in town. Monticello is pretty cool, as well.0

Nice to see a lot of people heading to this show, was not sure how the turn out would be for the last two shows on the first leg....got a mind full of questions and a teacher in my soul...0

Thanks.
Skyline Drive and the Blue Ridge Parkway are Can't Miss!0 -

Me too. I am hoping the crowds will be decent in both size and energy. The Bristow crowd in 2010 was very on and off. That has me slightly concerned about both NC and VA.2008: Bonnaroo
2010: Bristow
2012: Atlanta
2013: Charlottesville, Charlotte
2014: Cincinnati
2016: Greenville, Hampton, Raleigh (cancelled), Columbia, Lexington

Late October in that area of the country was á no brainer PJ road trip vacation for me...0 -

IIRC, Bristow was freezing cold (around 50F) by the time they came on, and the way that crap hole is shaped you can barely hear the crowd noise inside the pavilion.0 -
I'll be driving in from Raleigh and probably driving back after the concert. What is the parking situation at the arena? Anyone have any recommended places to park to get out quick? Looking forward to it with my 14 year old son!!!0

sent you a PMLife should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of
arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to
slide in sideways, BBQ sandwich in one hand, cold beer in the other,
body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "Woo Hoo what a
ride"!

There are still tickets available for this show. I really thought this one would be a hard sellout. It's still early and I'm really looking forward to this show. I just hope the place is busting at the seams and rocking.0

Wifey and I will be there.

My daughters first concert was PJ20. She was 13. She lived it. Unfortunately parking sucks. Your best bet is getting a parking pass.Orlando 8/24/92, Ft. Lauderdale 10/6/96, E. Troy 9/3-4/11, Charlottesville 10/29/130 -

It's kind of far away from population centers, 2.5-3 hours from DC. My guess is that the tickets will vanish as the UVA kids get back to school.0 -
Booked our hotel for this show at the cavalier inn, looks like a very short walk. Looks like the other hotels within a short walk were sold out for the 29th...
Wife and I will be heading to Charlotte the next day, then back to Raleigh after the show. Should be a great 2 days, can't wait!Wouldn't it be funny if the world ended in 2010, with lots of fire?0
