Wrigley Merch Lines are RIDICULOUS

I'm starting to think that this is the tour that I finally say FUCK IT and stop buying this God Damn shit. It isn't exactly "enriching my life" either. It's yet another poster that I'm only buying because it's worth something that will go in a tube that hides in a box in my closet.

They know the kind of frenzy this shit causes and they don't do anything to make it easier for us to get it. Opening the merch booths for the 2 days before the show is only serving to piss off the people like myself who are unable to get there early enough to take advantage of this and diluting the limted stock they have; or wasting the time of the people traveling to the show when they could be out having fun and seeing the city instead of risking heat stroke only to be told that they ran out of posters 500 people in front of them.

I haven't heard back yet but I'm assuming that for the 2nd day in a row my friend I am sharing tickets with had no luck getting any posters in the merch line either. I won't be there until 2:30ish tomorrow and I'm definitely thinking it's ALL gone by then too. If he gets shut out tomorrow I'm not going to buy any more of this crap for the rest of the tour. I'll have fun seeing New York or hanging out at the Pre-Party instead.

I kind of gave up on the posters and tshirts getting there early a while ago, sometimes depending on the city it a pain in the ass to get to the venue super early before stuff sells out, if I get it good, if not it sucks, but it be nice if 10c had some extra stuff, or if you win 10c tickets for that show with the lotto now, maybe they allow you first dibs then on merchandise for that show? that would be a good added bonus of being a 10c member if they could do that

I was number 40 in line at the merch table. I was able to get the Shuss poster and the emek poster. I cant believe the posters sold out that fast. So ridiculous. They didnt have stickers or the trading cards...this was setup and run so poorly... I really wanted the ames poster.

the ames posters are the ones that sell for the most $ and are the most hoarded, it seems I can never get them what they make only 100 or 200 of them

Is everything selling out or just posters?

I do agree on one thing... the general public should not have the ability to stand in line and buy stuff for a concert that they most likely will not be attending.

When is this 10C hosted Merch event happening? Is that only for travel package winners?

The thought process of 10club was solid in terms of allowing people to pick merch up beforehand. However, I really didn't understand why people were so excited by outdoor booths. It just opened the doors for anyone off the street to buy merch. I don't really think the email showing all the goods helped either, just made it worse. By far the most unique merch I have ever seen for a show.

I hope everyone gets what they want, or merch ends up in 10club store, but I really hope they don't continue with this method for the fall tour.

got in line at the main merch stand around 10:15 and there was about 30 people in front of me. finally got up to the stand around 12:45 and they didn't have the pennant or the lady's sweatshirt (girlfriend really wanted it) at that specific stand, those two items were at the second stand.

HUGE fail. if you are going to have two stands open make sure you divvy up everything between the two. people waited in line for hours to find out that particular stand wasn't selling what they were looking to get.

got the black hoodie (which seemed weird after waiting in that heat for so long) and the cracker jack looking poster. hoping to score the lady's sweatshirt tonight before the 10C bbq or before the show tomorrow for the girlfriend.

Wait, I thought it was always to buy as much over priced stuff as possible? You're saying you don't need $260 worth of Pearl Jam pictures on pieces of cardboard or a poster of a hotdog squeezing mustard for $35?

Must present ticket or 10 C confirmation at time of purchase. Ticket is scanned and can't be scanned again until Wrigley entry.

I think we can all agree the poster pre-sale thing from a few years ago worked great. Why don't they still do that?

All 4 posters already on ebay, and people are buying them. Also cards, pennants shirts.

    I'd guess shipping.

I'm not saying you're wrong, but from their perspective I'm thinking that shipping 8,000 posters to one location is vastly easier than shipping 8,000 posters to 8,000 locations.

Yeah, but they mark up shipping so much anyways. Even more $$$ for them.

I was worried yesterday that I wasn't going to get anything since I won't be in town until about 2pm tomorrow. Then I started thinking it's just not worth it losing sleep over if I'll get a poster I probably have no room to hang or get a shirt I might wear once.

What matters is what's going on tomorrow night. Pearl Jam is playing Wrigley Field!!
