It seems to me that the concert aspect of a pj show has now taken a backseat to the merchandise hoarders.
And so you see, I have come to doubt

Well, that's not going to be fun...

At least you can check the line status (at least the beginning of it) here:

*keeps checking ebay. surprised nothing has popped up yet...isnt the merch stand open now at 1:15est? or does it open at 1pm central time?
it's largely due to eddie that i liked to jump off of things as a child...

If you are in line, I highly recommend asking someone to save your place and get water and sunscreen from the 7-11 across the street. People are going to get fried waiting in these lines. There is no shade. Be careful!

For the first time ever, I'm refusing to deal with it. Crossing my fingers that the majority of the merch finds it's way to pearljam.com eventually. If not, I don't really care...I'll have the memory of going to this show with my brother, which is way more important/valuable than a bunch of random crap that will someday be thrown out by your kids after they move you to assisted living.

agreed. it's not even fun anymore. people let merch make or break the show for them. whether I get a poster or not should not affect my memories of the show (as long as I have a recording ;) )

    So true ....
You would think 10C would put online as well? Maybe even do a pre-sale for posters and such ... which would give them more notice on amount to order? And maybe even limit the hoarding for Ebay sales?
Who knows, guess I am not in that business and hold off judgement ... but definitely a bit frustrating to those standing in line. I guess this does adds to the 'hype' of this epic show?

Has anything sold out? I am having an Intern in the Chicago area drive into the city to pick up the trading cards for me. Any chance of an update thread on merchandise that sells out?

    Those cards look Fantastic!

Anyone else wonder why they put the merch stands out in the public area outside of Wrigley. Wouldn't it have been nice to have it inside the first 2 days so people who actually have tickets to the show could go in and get some nice merch items? It seems like the general public is going to get all the good stuff before any of the actual concert goers get there.

Thanks! This is what I am hoping to hear - updates - that way we can save time trying to get there. Really appreciate the update on Posters! Keep 'em coming if you can and do not pass out from heat exhaustion!

That's what you get when you put it outside of the venue in a big city.

Glad I do not have any intention of purchasing any merchandise when I get there tomorrow.

That is literally the first poster I have ever wanted! TO be honest, I think most PJ posters are kinda ugly. Just not my style. But this one I really like. I hope they still have some left in a couple hours.

Anyone know if the ticket pick up line is as bad as the merch line?

Any updates for the 10C ticket line? I'm thinking about heading down there over lunch - my original plan was to hit up the merch tents too - but that doesn't look like it's happening.

If the 10C ticket line isn't too bad - I'll definitely go grab those...
