Like. Listen I have been a member since 1997 and have missed out on countless tickets. I still have not seen Eddie solo because it was just not in the cards I guess. There is NO perfect system, but if you step back and get over the fact you did not get tickets you have to admit this is leaps and bounds better then the last system. If you have any idea what it costs to build, run, and update a website you would realize that Pearl Jam is doing a hell of a job. To be honest it pisses me off when I read all of these people saying they dislike the new system just because they missed out on tickets. Again I have missed out on all Ed solo shows and some PJ shows. Am I going to curse the band, the fan club, etc.? People there are a lot of PJ fans (which is great!) and I have met some amazing people lets not forget that. One more thing people who throw in the, "I've been a member since such and such and deserve so much more". you all sound like the kid saying you like a certain band more because you heard them first. You sound like a little kid.
I had no expectations whatsoever about winning - in fact I was shocked that I did luck out - to me this lottery was just a roll of the dice. I put in for as many shows as I could afford to and could actually attend, if I wound up actually winning. That being said, I am happy to be attending 5 shows. I've had to pay far more on the secondary market for two tickets to one show. Now all I need to is get some tix to the 2nd night at Philly.
I am happy. Very happy. But I would have been happy regardless of winning - I still would have found a ticket somehow. That's just how I roll.

Good idea with some strengths but poorly executed overall and needs tweaking for seniority, home city/state. Better all 10cers get tix for 2 shows than longtime fans get shut out for all.

Mostly because I've been able to score tix (Wrigley, Phoenix-GA).

Even if I struck out on the Phoenix show, I would have gotten Ticketmaster tickets which probably would have been just as good or better than what 10c is giving us.

I thought the world...Turns out the world thought me
I might not like it as much if I wanted GA or if I lived in a big market with high demand for tickets for a local show (or if I didn't understand how they were going to draw tickets).
But then again, if I lived in a big market I might not have to drive 6 hours for any show I want to see like I have for the past 7 years.
The only people we should try to get even with...
...are those who've helped us.
Right 'round the corner could be bigger than ourselves.

oh, and yes, I like the lottery.
Here's the thing - I don't have a problem with it BUT I'm on the west coast. It seems like if you are on the east coast, it's a whole other issue.

But I think the system could use some improvements (and a better explanation of how it exactly works)
