HOPEFULLY... they let 20-30 people in...let them get situated...let in another batch...let them get situated...

No need for a stampede of 500 people all at once...especially at a Pearl Jam show...we don't need a crowd rush in July (or any month) at a GA show.

Here's what the rules should be:

First come, first serve. You can only hold a spot for one person.
    I disagree.
If your ticket buddy doesn't show up to that line as the same time as you.
    His loss.
To the back of the line he goes.

You are right. The Chicago police will not be having any part of a line that starts in the middle of the night.
    That's the best part.
The one thing that some people here don't realize.

The Chicago Police will take charge of that line.
    No questions asked.

    :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

All it will take is one phone call to the police form one of the "Wrigley Field neighbors" and that line will be shut down.
Fan: But, but officer. I am here to get my Pearl Jam poster.

Officer: You will be in the paddy wagon in 10 seconds if you don't get out of my face.

I was able to arrange a ticket trade with a fellow 10C member that will afford me the opportunity to be in the GA section at Wrigley, and I'll be the guy standing right at the back of the section with a big smile on his face!

Agreed. Everybody shows up at the same time. Only one person per group out of the line at a time. You could easily buy five drinks and hot dogs for the group and take them back.

If ten people leave a group of twenty...too confusing...15 people could enter where 10 people left and who would know?

If I were to get in line at 7am.
Yet my wife shows up at 3pm.

Should she be able to join me at the front of the line?
    Just asking.

It depends. How good of friends are you with the person running "the list"?

Exactly. If it's a mad stampede, there's a lot of potential for any "list" or camping out to be instantly flushed down the toilet.

If they want to do it right...IMO...

    1) Wristbands with tickets.
    2) Random lotto to determine the first number.
    3) About 45-60 minutes before gates open, everyone lines up according to the lotto, but they line up in a special queued-off area.
    4) Let in a few people at a time.
    5) Once the people with wristbands are all in, let in everyone else to the GA area...but I'd imagine there wouldn't be many.

And the other big one? Sell posters and t-shirts and whatnot on the street so people can put it in their cars or their hotels or whatever...if they're only sold in the stadium, a lot of GA people are going to be furious.

I am willing to bet that there will be at least a few people who do not even spend a minute in the GA line but will still end up at the very front of GA because of "connections"

If it's run similar to the way Bruce Springsteen's touring management runs things, camping out and/or making a list will be unnecessary:

This is exactly what I suggested a few pages back.

No one should be able to decide that they will see at least one PJ show at the rail, and make the sacrifices to do it. That should only happen if you are randomly chosen to enter the venue early enough. That is of course assuming you were randomly chosen to buy tickets in the first place.

I don't agree. I like the idea of the lottery system but if they aren't going to do a lottery, then the people who put in the effort and make the sacrifices should get the rail.
