So...I bought both the Indie store blue cover version the day it came out and I'm waiting on the "deluxe" version on vinyl from Matador Records. I'm only going to open one, the question is...which one?? I bought the CD as well so I can at least listen to it while i wait for the deluxe vinyl to get delivered.

Any thoughts as to which one will be worth more in the long run and therefore should remain sealed :?: :?: :?:

I'm having a hard time deciding what to do here...

Vinyl is meant to be played! Oh and the deluxe is 180 gram, so it's gonna sound better.....

No difference in sound between vinyl weights, only durability and warping.

Difference in sound over time then perhaps, that is if you play it a lot.

Anyway, as far as I know the blue cover one doesn't have the awesome hard back booklet with all the illustrations either.

I AM SO STOOOOOOOOKED!!! My prayers have been heard 8-)

And I agree on the vinyl thing. I got the deluxe version and tore it up right away to put it on the decks. I think it is nice to see after a while that I might have harder to get vinyl (also in case times get bad at one point and I am forced to sell something), but I am buying it to spin it. The good thing with qotsa is that they are a band who is reissuing and usually providing lots of vinyl so that everybody who wants it can afford to buy it. I was happy when they reissued Lullabies cause my original version had noise on my favourite song.

By now most of us have given ...Like Clockwork a good few listens, I'd be interested to see what tracks people are digging the most...? For me it's 'I Sat By The Ocean', 'I Appear Missing', but the total stand out is 'If I Had A Tail', oh yeah, that thing is a MONSTER! One of their best ever songs, thank you QOTSA!

For the pre-sale tomorrow ... Their announcement said "10 a.m. local time". Does that mean MY local time, regardless of time zones? Good luck to everybody who is trying for tix tomorrow, I hope we all get lucky

As for favourite songs  I LOVE If I had a tail, but the whole album is great :D I still need that iPod cable for my car, I want to blast it when I'm driving...

After a week of spinning this album I can honestly say ...like clockwork is one of my favorite albums from the last 10 years. When I seen Qotsa live for the first time back in 2007 they became my number 2 band behind PJ and this album just proves they deserve to be there.
