I haven't listened to my vinyl yet but I'm curious if you got the standard or deluxe vinyl?
I just got the standard.
The 180 gram sounds pretty good. Unfortunately alot of "standard" vinyl nowadays is cheaply made and sounds terrible
Well this "standard" version is 150g, so still very solid... Okay, I'm kind of embarrassed to admit this, but the record sounds good now that I put back on last night... Um, I think it sounded bad before because I'd smoked some weed and was hearing it funny.  .... But seriously, how was I to know?? Usually pot makes shit taste sound better, not worse!! :fp:

Or you cleaned out your ears
Ew. No, my mom raised me right - my ears are always clean, thank you very much! Hmph!

Listening to their back catalog all week. These guys are awesome. Rated R and Songs for the deaf are soooo damn good. so are the rest.....but these two and the new album are unreal.

I'm weird
Can't stand?! I mean, I wasn't a huge fan of Era Vulgaris, but it has some good songs. You really don't like ANYTHING on SFTD? Wow, I think it's genuinely the best hard rock record of the 2000's.
On a side note, ....Like Clockwork is an instant classic for me, the quality throughout is consistently brilliant.

I like about 3 songs on it. the rest is trash to me.
Riddle me this guys and girls... The presale for QOTSA in Cincinnati went on sale last Wednesday, and the public sale started Friday morning, and I managed to score pit seats late Friday night, and I've checked a couple times since then and there are still pit seats available. The entire venue only holds 4,000 people and the pit isn't very big at all. How the hell are there still pit seats available for this show?!?!

Outrageous! Who wouldn't want to see QOTSA so close!

are obvious ones that'll be really hard to top depending on your cutoff point between hard rock and metal. I think it's pretty hard to rank an album that's just a week or 2 old.
This is a really great album but I don't think its the second coming like some people seem to think it is. There are many songs on Era Vulgaris that are better than most of ...Like Clockwork. Its cool that so many people are enjoying the album though, that's all that matters. Gonna be seeing them in November for the second time. Gonna be gooooooooodd

That's pretty insane. QOTSA are playing arenas in the UK in November. 12,000ish per night. I saw them in a 4000 capacity venue on their Era Vulgaris tour, it was insane. But then again I think seating at a rock show is insane

I am really diggin' Smooth Sailing at the moment. Good ol' sexy smasher
Good song
Probably my least favorite off the album
I love the Eagles of Death Metal too, and that sounds a lot like them... If I had a Tail is another fave.
A lot of their songs are so fucking sexy! I watched a video of Smooth Sailing earlier and cracked up cause one of the comments said: "QOTSA... Don't sit too close, first two rows might get pregnant"
Please, Pearl Jam, consider a Benaroya Hall vinyl reissue!
Lars P. Krause's poster for tomorrow in Berlin. There will be several variants. I LOVE IT  I will try to snag one of the blue ones online tomorrow ...

They have now all but sold out two nights at Wembley Arena (12,500 capacity) - managed to snag standing tickets for night two (Saturday!)
Great to see them deservedly and finally making the step up to bigger venues (in Europe at least!).

I am now in a collecting mood of the previous work of the band. All albums, boots, whatever...
I cannot believe I missed them twice by 1-day each in South America 3 months ago. Fool me...
I just wanna believe that PJ album will be as good as this one.
