My friend chased a woman who stole $300 worth of meat from her shop and got punched in the face. My friend then hit the woman so hard in the face that she knocked her out! “ "Thank you Palestrina. An diesem Wochenende lernte ich, wie man Übertragungsflüssigkeit für ein durch bayerische Motorarbeiten verfertigtes Auto ersetzte.
Ich genoß wirklich das.
Honestly, I did.

I learned my neighbour is far more inconsiderate than I already thought (live in townhome complex)... hired a roofing company to roof her unit on a Sunday starting at 7 AM ... the only day of the week my wife gets to sleep in ... to top it off a big roof vent was thrown on on our deck which could have hit my wife or dog ... which resulted in a discussion with roofers to be more careful, which should have been her job. And she could have notified neighbours or at least had roofers start around 9 or 10, especially on a Sunday.I have certain rules I live by ... My First Rule ... I don't believe anything the government tells me ... George Carlin

That a surprising number of parents are perfectly willing to dangle their small children over a deadly waterfall while standing on a slippery rock. With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy. ~ Desiderata0

No.... only 3 people have died there this season so far because they got too close to the edge. I guess that's not THAT bad for this point in the season... the number probably won't get over 10 by the end of August. :?Snakeduck wrote:PJ_Soul wrote:That a surprising number of parents are perfectly willing to dangle their small children over a deadly waterfall while standing on a slippery rock.

I was about the post the exact same image.
I started re-watching all the episodes from Season 1 onwards last week...
I learned that apparently Presidente is the only beer served in the dominican republic... and that Rum Punch might be one of my favorite drinks... right up there with a good whiskey sour.
Houston, Texas... Believe it or not, there are 7 million people here... must be a couple of fans who'd love to see you play.0 -
Golden Ears Provincial Park. See, the people like to dangle children or goof around right about where what looks like that little kid is standing in this photo. :fp: (and that's nothing - that is later in the summer when the runoff isn't flooding through. Right now those falls are quadruple the size)Snakeduck wrote:PJ_Soul wrote:

D'oh!
I have books recounting deaths in each of the National Parks in America and Yosemite is well out in front. A lot of rock climbers die there, but I was amazed at how many idiots get washed over falls every year, mostly by wading out into the river right above the falls for a good pic and then someone slips...0 -

Yeah, I heard that 2 or 3 just died at Yosemite on the weekend.
One over the falls, one from a rock falling on his head when his climbing partner accidentally dislodged it above him. Oops. With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy. ~ Desiderata0 -
Oh, and it happens because of this, too - you can see on the right side that the waterfall suddenly starts right at the edge of this beautiful spot once the runoff has stopped. The waterfall begins about 1 foot out of this photo. People get caught in the undertow from that while swimming in this deceivingly amazing and calm swimming hole. And of course the people who jump on the cliff there into the pool and break their necks are also a factor. :fp:Snakeduck wrote:PJ_Soul wrote:Golden Ears Provincial Park. Still, has to be better than getting boiled alive in Yellowstone geothermal water...

That is beautiful! That's it, I'm jumping off and going swimming! Nobody can stop me...
