A M777 / 155mm Howie!
No background checks. No registration. No phooey and applesauce!
The constitution gives me the right! My forefathers foresaw it with their wooden magic 8 balls.
I can't wait for my fellow pit members to rally behind me on my vigilant plea. I have seen your logic and reason displayed for the last five months. Come defend me, good sirs.
I want a tank...a big ol' tank...
let's do this shit...I want to bear my arms...
just buy a tank topthat’s right! Can’t we all just get together and focus on our real enemies: monogamous gays and stem cells… - Ned Flanders
It is terrifying when you are too stupid to know who is dumb

If you want a tank, then go buy a tank. It is perfectly legal in some states with the proper paperwork and a $200 tax stamp.0

The only thing bad about the Class III weapons (automatic weapons, tanks, rocket launchers, suppressors, etc...) is that they are registered with the Feds.0 -

so registering your gun doesn't stop you from owning a gun. just want to make sure i read that right.
cause some here have stated that registering your gun will lead to the government taking them0 -
Hmmm ... I might be going with the Soviet howitzer no matter what ... a M777 shell cost $140,000 each

Only the Class III weapons are resigtered with the Feds. These are your tanks, rocket launchers, automatic guns. There are not many of these around and they were all from the pre-ban era of 1986 and before I believe. Regular weapons that you can walk into any gunshop or walmart and buy like your semi-autos, shotguns are not registered.0 -

you what you say is true as i read that also. My point is that so many people here believe that if the government goal is to take away guns that is why they want people to register them but the truth is that register all guns doesn't mean that the government is going to take guns away.0 -
No, but it is one step closer for the government to be able to take them away some day. They will chip away one law at a time if allowed before you are no longer able to buy any new guns. First semi-auto rifles, then handguns and so on...where would it stop?0
-
NO THEY WON'T take your guns away... please stop pushing that paranoid lie. :nono:RustyShackelford wrote:No, but it is one step closer for the government to be able to take them away some day. if they wanted to really control guns, they would make it illegal to make or produce them in the united states. they would not "take away your rights" by messing with the 2nd amendment."You can tell the greatness of a man by what makes him angry." - Lincoln

they banned machine guns over 20 years ago and have never banned anything since then. at what point do we say that this fear is irrational.
as you wrote earlier, if you want a tank you can buy one.0 -

I never said they would take them away. I said it would be one step closer for them to be able to. No doubt about that at all.0 -
nothing really stops that now, registered or not.RustyShackelford wrote:gimmesometruth27 wrote:

Only in some states. Others you can't even buy a semi-auto rifle or certain semi-auto handguns...0 -
you never said they WILL take them away, but that they would be one step closer to taking them away, which implies that you think that they may or they will. do you honestly believe that?RustyShackelford wrote:I never said they would take them away.
