The government has taken away American citizen's weapons before. During Hurricane Katrina, when citizens were being evacuated from their homes, the police took firearms away from people. So yes, i do believe it can happen.0 -

That was a fucking gigantic hurricane what did you expect the police to do and so you equate that with the gov coming and taking your guns , get a grip ..jesus greets me looks just like me ....0 -
It was a giant hurricane and american citizen's right were violated by their own government in a time where they needed those weapons the most. They were violated so bad a year later a law was put into effect called the Disaster Recovery Personal Protection Act basically stating that during a state of emergency, cititzen's rights cannot be violated.0

They needed the weapons the most for what who were they fighting against ? their city was under 10feet of water the police were saving lives again what do you expect the cops to do in a situation like that ....jesus greets me looks just like me ....0 -

They needed them to protect themselves from the thugs who were running wild through out the area doing whatever the wanted whenever they wanted. Even in the Superdome their were rapes and violent crime. And people were being forced out of their homes which were completely dry and not in danger of flooding. It just wasn't people in the flood zones.0 -

I will meet your ridiculousness with a ridiculous answer, if it doesn't harm anyone who wasn't intent on doing harm themselves, what would it matter to you if they owned one?
The constitution doesn't give you the right. Human beings already had it. Not to suck the fun out of this thread as I have enjoyed it thoroughly, but there are limits on the 2nd amendment as there are limits on all rights.
and even if it were legal to do so, I don't think you would ever find a company willing to sell you one, I do however think that if you are a machinist you could build yourself one or just get the specs and a huge 3D printer Jason! Think outside the box, you're better than that!
I will never understand the fighting of thorough background checks but then again, I don't understand a lot of what motivates people in many political arguments.
and their is ALWAYS room for applesauce.

3D-Printed Gun Designs ‘Gone Dark’: Wiki-Weapons Project Removes Designs After Gov’t ‘Claims Control of the Information’
The federal action followed the recent introduction of a bill in the California state senate by Democrat Leland Yee that would ban 3D-printed guns, as well as a bill introduced last year by U.S. Rep. Steve Israel (D-N.Y.) that would further restrict the weapons.
