It's on the front page of www.boston.com:

    Courthouse evacuated after bomb threat
Boston’s federal courthouse, where a large contingent of media had gathered in anticipation of an appearance by the suspect, has been evacuated. (3:33 p.m.)

noo ... people cannot identify accents ... most americans could not find iraq on a map when asked to ...

this is a country that after 9/11 had people beating up any "brown" people they could find ...

it's why the fbi issued a plea for the media to not report erroneous details ... because of the possibility of this happening ...

That's a bit dramatic. Nobody I've ever met would take to the streets and start crushing brown people. Sure there were isolated incidents after 9-11, but I don't believe it was a widespread thing

Yes, most of us could not find Iraq on a map and did beat up brown people after 9/11. You've got us figured out. The whole country could not wait to beat up some brown people.

Just stop judging the whole country by the lowest common denominator. You said most, you were wrong. You jumped on Wolf Blitzer's words pretty good earlier so watch your own.

I think that saying the news can't talk about a person's accent because people with accents might get beaten up is a little much - sounds paranoid.

Yep... it's either most of us are racists or none of us are. Great parameters there.

And 6 out 10 young Americans probably can't find Kansas on a map, but that doesn't mean they are going to grow up to beat up brown people.

The last time our country was divided on race and held rallies and marches was because NBC edited a 911 call. Compared to what I've seen from the 60's, we have come a loooooong way.

I'll blame poor geography skills on the teachers union. ;)

The current population of the US is 313,914,040

    10 incidents isn't exactly widespread.

Don't act like you walk around not seeing the color of people's skin. The American public has good reason to think that Middle East terror could possibly be involved. That stereotype isn't unfounded.

Here we go again. Why is it ok to lump all Americans into 1 basket all the time around here?

Racism everywhere. Doesn't mean it's always the cause of everything. And where in the hell did you get "no such thing as racism in the US" from anyone's post?
