    Could be the flu. Which would involve a significant cough as well. If that is the case, at this point, time is the only cure. If you have a fever for longer than six or seven days though, you could be developing a secondary bacterial infection, such as pneumonia and will definitely need a doc for an antibiotic. You can alternate tylenol with Advil every 3 hours. As in take the Tylenol at 9am 3 pm 9pm 3 am and Advil 12-6-12-6. It will keep your temp under better control and maybe make you feel a little better. No more than the recommended amount of the drugs. Not good for the liver. And push fluids to the max. You also mentioned dental problems though. A massive infection can certainly make you feel like you have the flu. A white blood cell count wouldn't hurt to see whether your problem is viral or bacterial in origin. Docs can usually do a lab test without an appointment or send you to a lab for one.

    with the amount of weight you've recently lost combined with the dental surgery, i'd get to a doc soon...like i said, that high a fever shouldn't go unchecked if it's lasted more than a day or two

    Oceaninmyeyes has it down pat. I was just reading all these post's and What I seen in yours is that you have a low-grade fever witch is a sign of infection. If it's 102 and above,the body can fight it off. If it's under 102 for a long period of time,thats Doctor time. Good Luck! Get Med's!

    Woke up today, after 12 hours of sleep, and felt like a new man. Going to see what happens in the next 12 hours. Any sign of a fever returning, and I am off to see the Wizard. :lol::lol:
