That's the one. this will make more sense when you actually see it but, the shelves of the unit are made up of a series a long boards and short boards. When you set it up, make sure the long boards are sitting horizontal and the short board are vertical...or else...
notice in the photos the short boards are set-up horizontally? Don't do that.
Screws should be visible on the top and bottom of the finished product. And please use those wall anchors that the instructions highly suggest!0 -
is the what you bought?

ok, had a series crisis here, I had my vinyl on the top 2 shelves of a book shelf and the 2nd one crashed and they all came tumbling down, bending lots of corners, fuck me. I took all the vinyl off the top shelf, so it looks like the vinyl on a book shelf is being axed. I will have to make a trip to ikea soon and get this, cause now I have my vinyl on in piles on the floor, while I try to bend back the ones most bent, what a piss off, grrrrrrrr
Oh man that fucking sucks dude, I feel your pain. Hope the incident didn't bend any of the vinyl inside the sleeves!A wop bop a loo bop a lop bam boom.0 -
Anyone around here know much about this band? I really like this record, such a strong debut...A wop bop a loo bop a lop bam boom.0

Just out of curiosity what's people's thoughts on the whole 180gram vinyl thing??
I mean, I know these records are meant to have more detail in them, a fuller sound etc, but I've got quite a few of the older thinner vinyl, (100gram or whatever it is) and to be honest they sound just as good, if not better than the 180gram's that seem to be the norm on new releases.
Why is it supposedly so great to hear things on this thicker vinyl?? I just don't see what the big deal is... :problem:A wop bop a loo bop a lop bam boom.0 -

I never knew that 180g was supposed to have better sound quality, unless you're factoring in the tracking issue that generally happens the closer you get to the middle of the record and the fact that like you say alot of 180g/newer records are doubles.
I always took the audiophile part in stuff like "audiophile 180g vinyl" to mean the actual vinyl and not necessarily the weight.0 -

This
I might be stupid but I don't know what "This" means.
I highlighted the last sentence in PJ_Soul's post. That's why I wrote "This."
Got ya, and agreed! Though it seems there's not alot we can do about that. I just want to know why everything is on 180 gram these days but the older thinner records sound equally as good, even if it's got nothing to do with the sound quality then what is the reason...??A wop bop a loo bop a lop bam boom.0 -
Hmmm, I know of the vinyl I'v picked up recently, I'm not sure on the difference in the sound quality between the 2 weights but the non-180g vinyl feel crappier, feel so thin & flimsy & just lightweight, cheaper etc.
Also, reesdog I don't know the artist you posted about up above. Never heard of them at all. Cool if you've discovered a good new thing.<hr>
