Surprised no flag on that 4th down play but looked within the 5 yards.
    Shows: 6.27.08 Hartford, CT/5.15.10 Hartford, CT/6.18.2011 Hartford, CT (EV Solo)/10.19.13 Brooklyn/10.25.13 Hartford

They said it was within 5 yards but I'm surprised interference wasn't called. Think it balances out with reviewed "catch" a few plays earlier.

So now the Rooney rule isn't good enough? I totally understand you need diversity, but teams shouldn't feel that they have to hire a coach/GM based on their skin color. Organizations are going to hire a coach/GM that they think is going to be successful. Plain and simple.

I think the Rooney rule leads to, for a lack of a better term, too many "token" interviews for black coaches. I don't remember which team it was but a few year ago a team was gung-ho on hiring a coach. Everybody knew they wanted him. But they had to honor the Rooney rule. So they trotted Art Shell in for an interview even though he had no chance at getting the job. I think that's worse than not getting an interview to begin with.

the rooney rule is just another reason why this league sucks.

it's not like there are great black head coaching candidates being shunned for jobs. If anything guys like marv lewis need to be fired.

there are only 32 HC jobs. I don't know why race is an issue. it's annoying

it's apparent that the nfl doesn't have replay to increase call accuracy. it's strictly to add commercials

I really hope mlb doesn't implement replay. I can live with the bad calls...having a system which fails to improve accuracy, then having to live with bad calls...well, that's just not right. especially when it significantly slows down the game.

goodell really can't do anything right. I bet he fucks up when he brushes his teeth each morning

EDIT: actually the NHL replay system is great. If MLB went to that type of format I'd be ok with it. The NFL system is a travesty

What exactly happened? I missed it, and I can't find mention about it anywhere. I've tried Googling blown call, both team names, etc. When I do pull up a story about the game it doesn't mention any controversial call.

If they lost, I bet he'd hire Ray Lewis for a hit on that ref.

I'm a Niners fan, but if I had a boat and and people were drowning and I could only save one person, Pete Carroll or Jim Harbaugh - that would be a tough choice.

What happened was the official's called it a catch even though it touched the ground and moved a little. And then Harbaugh threw a hairy fit!

He looks like he's about to go "boneless" and make the referees drag him off the field.
